I thought it would be good to have a thread for sports. Top 10 lists, general sports stuff kind of thing
Top 5 QB’s all time 1. Brady 2. Johnny U 3. Montana
Here is where it gets subjective. I’m not sure there is a clear cut 4 or 5 4. Bob Griese 5. Otto Graham

The "All Time" list is really hard to do anymore, in my opinion. This is because the game changes every generation or so. Look at guys like Griese and Graham - they were AWESOME in their generation, but the game is so much different.
So, you really have to qualify that any All Time list is taking into account their respective generations.

You forgot Baker.
Yeah, this is hard list to do with how the game changed and not see some of the older ones play much.
1. Brady 2. Montana 3. Johnny U 4. Marino 5. Manning
Personal favorite was Dan Fouts. That Chargers team from early 80s was the best.

Air Coryell and Dan Fouts. I like them as well. I almost forgot Machine Gun Kelly. That guy was very good. Also another guy who made the quarterback scramble interesting was Tarkenton.

Such a subjective list. Tough to do due to eras, the types of offenses, number of/lack of SB titles, teams around them, etc. Lot's of great ones. I'll take a stab in no particular order-
1. Bradshaw 2. Montana 3. Favre 4. Brady 5. Peyton Manning
Tough to leave out Elway, Brees, Rogers, Marino, etc.

To be honest, I wouldn’t have thought about Peyton Manning for a while. I know he was perhaps the best prepared of any of the ones already mentioned but he was just kind of......meh. At least for me. His numbers were always good and in some years, they were great. He is kind of like a librarian instead of a QB. I’m surprised he isn’t in the broadcast booth yet because of his ability to break down plays as a color guy. Elway, absolutely. Even though his numbers weren’t always great, lots of INT’s, I liked how he played.

Ok, how about this
LB’s
1. Butkus 2. Taylor 3. Seau 4. Brooks 5. Singletary
I know lots of folks who classify Taylor as a DE but when he played, he was OLB. That’s why I would put him in there

I always saw Bradshaw as the ultimate participation trophy guy...but I did hate the steelers then.
Speaking of players I didn't like, Ray Lewis would be one considered in the LB list. But your list is about what I would have.
It's pretty amazing the ones the Steelers have had over time.

The LB category is stacked. I thought about the Steelers LB's, Ham and Lambert, and I think about the 86 Giants and their entire LB core is so good. It's hard to not mention Ray Lewis, but I didn't Nick Buoniconti is another one who comes to mind.

There are some fantastic players that could go on the list. Greene was another great Ram/Steeler.

If he played today, no doubt he would be looked at as a DE. Speaking of the Rams, how about Jack Youngblood. He also played on a broken stick in a SB.

The Tarkenton video really shows how times have changed. The DL and LBs going for him looked so slow and clumsy. There are a lot of QBs that try to do those scrambles now and get nailed when the reverse direction.

Here is a Tarkenton video. I would hate to have been on his O-line I mostly remember Tarkenton from That's Incredible. I do remember him though because my father liked the Vikings defense.

Let’s take a stab at RB’s.
Brown Dickerson Sanders Payton Smith Campbell Riggins Harris Sayers
There are many others and I didn’t attempt to slot them although I would most likely put Brown at the top of the list. His YPC avg alone makes him the benchmark.

RBs are tough. Just the ones I remember watching. There are others well before I was watching that were all-time greats.
Allen Harris Smith Sanders Payton Bettis Campbell Peterson Dickerson
