Just keep it as impartial as you can for the good of the thread. For example saying "Farage and BoJo are just dumb" isn't critical, or constructive. Dumb may be the wrong word. To be fair they are both highly intelligent but appear to be lacking either the common sense or ability to use that intelligence properly. Altho some days I wonder if they arent both victims of some PR Officer trying to make a name for themselves All politicians are victims of PR blokes. Just depends whose info you're listening to or reading etc. you can put a negative spin on any of politician, or as is relevant to the thread, either side of the referendum debate.

But no matter what, with or without this referendum Gove is just dangerously stupid. Just today he compared an opponent to people in the pay of the Nazis I don't have an opinion on Gove because I don't really follow our own politics with what's happening very much, however I did just look up what you just mentioned. His direct quote isn't even related to the nazi's tbh, he doesn't even mention the word. From the looks of it the point he was making is how the Germans paid 100 scientists to dismiss Einsteins theories because he was Jewish and Einstein turned around and said ‘Look, if I was wrong, one would have been enough.’ Which is in regards to the economists saying how warning of consequences of leaving the EU. FYI I'm not defending the guy, but it goes to show how the media and other politicians etc. pull every tiny thread they can get their grimy hands on to smear someone. Then again Gove made a rather poor decision choosing that as an example of getting his point across. I mean there are far easier ways to knock pro-EU economists down a peg or two than by using the Nazi's and Einstein. I will say it certainly doesn't exactly make him look like the sharpest tool in the box. Always important to look into things.

The EU vote is going to be interesting to say the least, to see what people opt for more.
I've become incredibly numb to both camps due to the blatant fearmongering and spin tactics, it's just not good, it's bad politics at it's finest.

Well, what can I say? Boris was right. Democracy has been served. The people have voted, and now we must stick to our guns. There can be no turning back.

The Lunatics are running the Asylum. Well done Britain just continue to prove to the world that we are as they think racist and xenophobic. This picture of a Great Britain without the EU you have been shown by the Leave Campaign is dated 27th of July 1914.
And it also has to be noted that nothing actually has to happen as a result of the referendum as it's not legally binding under UK Law.

Hmm, lets be careful with this thread guys and be respectful of everyones opinions on this. I didn't vote myself, too much propaganda from both sides put me off, but we will have people who voted leave, and those who voted remain, on this forum, so lets keep it friendly.

I voted remain. I'm trully shocked at the outcome, ashamed that people are basically so selfish. I feel sorry for all the young people whose potential futures may have just been trashed because Tracey, 42 year old single mother of 6 kids in Hull, doesn't like Polish people. Or Bob, an ex miner (20 fucking years ago) in Nottingham believes his industry will come back. I hear people saying they want to put the Great back into Britain. Instead they are simply putting the Cunt back into Country. It's a big world and Britain needs to get out of this Empire attitude, those days are gone.

As an American, I have a vested interest in the well being of my friends across the pond. I feel like voting to leave is a serious mistake. I really hope I'm wrong about this, as a healthy UK is a big part of a healthy world. You guys are smart and tenacious, so I'm banking on that to keep the ship righted.

The problem is the debate over here ended up as a slanging match. Like Chimps slinging poo at each other. And with a Member of Parliament and Remain Campaigner being murdered for her beliefs by a deranged Englishman. The actual arguments for Leave and Remain when actually reasoned and written out without emotion were both compelling on an International stage BUT neither side wanted to comment on the Self Employed or Small Business Owners. This and a myriad of other silly things such as the Bank of England giving up its impartiality and Obama telling us to give up our sovereignty when the US would fight tooth and nail to keep theres has, in the eyes of the educated, made the whole thing almost farcical. Plus theres no guarantee Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty will be enabled and the fact the Referendum is not Legally Binding under ANY UK or EU Law.

It's a shame on modern politics that such incredibly important issues come down to schoolyard shouting matches. Sadly, it seems everyone is following the American example.

Firstly, generalising everybody that voted leave as racists or disgruntled workers is just stupid mate. I take it you are a pompous rich business owner that wanted more immigration for cheap labour? Or you are some sort of young university student brainwashed by 'diversity'? No? Then don't make generalisations please. There is nothing wrong with people being a bit selfish; they care more about their own future which is a good thing. We are all individuals, and not a collective of selfless idiots. I'm not sure why you think the future is ruined. 5th strongest economy in the world, and even after the huge dip in the pound we are still doing better than the euro. We just need to get our shit sorted and bounce back, which shouldn't be hard now that we can cosy up to China and the US some more. Some are saying India wants to do more with us too, but I haven't looked that up yet. There were a lot of reasons people voted leave for. In my opinion I don't think that most people put immigration at the top of their list. Instead I think most people had that as one of their reasons, but it probably wasn't the first thing most of them thought about. I for one voted to leave because of the way the EU works, and its plans for the future. The EU is undemocratic, but it is very very close to being democratic. Reform could be a possibility now that the UK leaving is making them shit the bed. Before this they would not have wanted to change because the people in charge of it would not want to give up their power. The reason it isn't democratic is because the EU commission makes the laws, but you can't vote for anyone in the commission. This makes them completely unaccountable for their actions, and now they want an army too. We know from history where such a system can lead, and I think wiping that possibility is a good thing. I'm not really bothered about the the economy that much anyway.
