I’m really considering selling the savage and getting a Tikka, assuming I can get a good price on it NIB If you can get a Tikka Tac A1 for the same price range, definitely go for it. I’d love to have one but the wife hates the feel. Usually she’s happier with the more expensive models, but the Ruger fits her better. Problem is finding one 😂 Seen a couple on gunbroker, and 1 other site but are either left handed ( which is great for my kid not for me😁) or only in 260 Remington. Don’t have experience with that caliber

It's a great long range round. It just came out ahead of it's time and the Creedmoor gets all the press. Similar to the Winchester .270 and the Remington .280. Just a matter of timing.

Emailed the company, got some more information for anyone interested.
Thank you for contacting Seekins Precision! All versions of the HIT rifle will be able to change calibers very easily! The main difference with the Pro version will be extra accessories and an upgraded trigger. If changing between standard short action calibers (308, 6 Creedmoor, 6.5 Creedmoor) only the barrel will need to be changed. If switching to the PRC you would need a magnum bolt head ($95) and a 6.5 PRC magazine ($90). I hope this info helps and please let us know if you have any other questions

Anyone have experience with the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ 9mm ? I’ve shot a few of them. They have been popular with some of the women and older folks in the classes at our range. The slides are quite a bit easier to work, however, the recoil is snappier because of the lighter spring used to drop the force needed to work the slide. A side benefit to the lower sling weight is they tend to cycle lower powered ammo quite well and I’ve not seen one have any issues with a variety of hollowpoints.

Couple of the local gun stores with ranges rent them, might have to have my wife try one.

Great ergonomics, really nice trigger for a striker gun, and the slide is pretty easy to run especially with the “ears” HK has on them. More expensive, but much more ergonomic as well. My wife’s subcompact EDC choice is a Glock 43 but, if she had to replace it, she’d look hard at the Sig P365 mow that they’ve worked the bugs out.

I used to have a HK USP 45 years ago, but when I first got diagnosed with meniere’s I had to sell it to pay rent. Really miss that gun. If it wasn’t for how much HK’s cost I would take a closer look at the V9

I’ve been seeing the base model VP9s going for $550 used, $650 new locally. And Gunbroker has new ones starting at $549. That’s about $129 more than the smith EZ around here. Just a thought.
Smith & Wesson had an event at the local Bud’s gunshop In January where they offered discounts to most of their semi-autos. Might want to see if any semi-local stores have any planned events.

VP9 is tempting due to it being ambidextrous and my wife and oldest son are left handed while I’m right handed. Still need to get some range time. Only see then local starting at $700 when I can find them.

I have a Canik that I like really well and it’s ambidextrous. lockedloaded.com/product/century-hg3774gn-tp9sfx-canik-double-9mm-luger-5.2-201-black-interchangeable-backstrap-grip-gray-cerakote

I have a Buck Mark and have had various Ruger 22s over the years. Have a preference for the Browning as there are some modular upgrades that can be made to it and it is one of the best shooting rimfire pistolas I've owned. Sig is introducing a new one that looks promising as well. Taurus has been okay in my experiences with them. I think the early days reputation combined with idiots buying budget guns and expecting custom performance is the hitch in their get along.
