Let's talk all things Bert. How do you run Bert, Equipment, Supplies, how do you play Bert, and most importantly how do you avoid a Bert that has a hard on for you?
Personally I play Bert very aggressively. I run Rammer, vents, and GLD. My consumables are Tea, 105 octane, and a small repair kit (I don't play Bert for the money).
You'll find me just short of the front line. I try to maintain a 500 meter distance from my target and I always have some sort of hard cover between me and them. This way I'm relatively safe and I can drop pumpkins nearly vertical on all those who may be in range. Once the front line opens up a bit I will get a bit more bold. I'll zip in and shotgun low health targets of opportunity or I'll go hunting for the red artillery and shotgun them in the face. I'm never above ramming a low health target if my shotgun blast decides to miss. Bert is one of the few tanks that I'll intentionally fail platoon. Bert can leave an E-100 perma tracked in the open for the greens to tear apart and it seems like Borsigs and Waffles were just made for Bert to shoot at.
So tell me, fine forum folks of The Bunker how do you play or deal with Bert.

When it gets down to 5 or so reds, I go Bert jousting or I get in behind reds while they're shooting at teammates and drop a 400hp shot into their ass and scurry away.
Tier VIII matches are so much fun, permatracking the heavies and taking 50-80 hp off per shot. Makes me all tingly.
Dealing with a Bert - As soon as I notice a Bert on the reds, I pay attention to where he's firing at. As soon as I see a tracer I try to find him and put him down.
I'm slowly working on my 3rd MoE, but it's hard to keep up damage when the greens get steamrolled every time.

I'll be doing well and then get a string of city maps where I'm top tier. Sometimes a shit ton of tier IV light tanks are not what you want to see in a MoE grind. I think I'll platoon with some tier VIII tanks this weekend to work on my damage standing. |

Same equipment set-up as both of you, but not running premium consumables.
I've only got 34 battles with it so far and I'm struggling a bit with it with only a few games with over 1000 damage, although I did have a game with 4 kills. My hit ratio is only 33%. I'm going to watch some YouTube videos to see what I'm doing wrong. that said, it's a very fun tank even though I think it is whacking my WN8.

The premium consumables help a lot.
Big slow targets are the best. your first shot should be a tracking shot. Most of the time they fix it immediately. Your second shot should be another track shot. Then just pour hate and discontent on them, aiming near the tracks to use what little splash you have to keep them perma tracked.
Engine deck hits usually get me around 400-450 damage and a fire if I'm lucky.
With my setup I can fire a round every 6.8-ish seconds.

Rammer vents and EGLD with pudding and tea too. The opfor have no chance. I'd like to see if I could use it as a scout too, but the view range is god awful. Maybe Binocs, net and vents with food and some camo/view range skills?

I use the camo net on mine since I sit close to the front.
I think I have the muffled shot perk on it too.

You won't be doing much camping in the Bert though. I love it when the clueless tell me to fall back as I rush out of the spawn lol.

Bert's a buddy tank. Platoon with another and double tap em. Whoever gets the kill gets hacker messages.
Unseen tracking them and slowly killing them makes em snarl.

me, LifeTilts, and somebody else (I forget who now) once platooned with 3 Berts. it was glorious. I can't imagine what a 5-man bert platoon would be like.
