I can't imagine what a 5-man bert platoon would be like. I'm in. Still working on my second MoE. My gamertag is the same as my username here. Let's make it rain on the reds!

me, LifeTilts, and somebody else (I forget who now) once platooned with 3 Berts. it was glorious. I can't imagine what a 5-man bert platoon would be like. A 5-man Bert platoon is like the skies opened up and hellfire is raining down all around you. I've been on the receiving end a couple of times. It's not fun until you find the little guys and give them a little payback.

So I'm 4% away from unlocking my fourth skill/perk on my Bert. At that point I will have Sixth Sense, Camo, Clutch Braking and Snap Shot. What should I train up next?
I play mainly as Arty in Bert but I'm not afraid to assault directly if the situation calls for it.
I'm thinking either Smooth Ride or Off Road Driving. Do you have any suggestions for what might be my best choice?

I hear ya, it's important to have. It's just in my opinion, with a tank or arty that already has a quick reload, traverse, aim time, etc. it's a little less useful than on a tank that has a 20 second reload or very slow traverse. If I take BiA it'll give me maybe a .7 second reduction from my reload time. I wanted to get a few skills and perks that give me a noticeable boost in the game. I do agree that it's a great addition to any crew. I will get it for my Bert.

Let's talk all things Bert. How do you run Bert, Equipment, Supplies, how do you play Bert, and most importantly how do you avoid a Bert that has a hard on for you? Personally I play Bert very aggressively. I run Rammer, vents, and GLD. My consumables are Tea, 105 octane, and a small repair kit (I don't play Bert for the money). You'll find me just short of the front line. I try to maintain a 500 meter distance from my target and I always have some sort of hard cover between me and them. This way I'm relatively safe and I can drop pumpkins nearly vertical on all those who may be in range. Once the front line opens up a bit I will get a bit more bold. I'll zip in and shotgun low health targets of opportunity or I'll go hunting for the red artillery and shotgun them in the face. I'm never above ramming a low health target if my shotgun blast decides to miss. Bert is one of the few tanks that I'll intentionally fail platoon. Bert can leave an E-100 perma tracked in the open for the greens to tear apart and it seems like Borsigs and Waffles were just made for Bert to shoot at. So tell me, fine forum folks of The Bunker how do you play or deal with Bert. I would post how I run my Bert, but the OP hacked my account, spied my stuff, then posted it here, LMFAO! Really tho, I run mine THE EXACT SAME WAY, equipment, consumables, tactics, EVERYTHING! I start off 25000 silver in the hole every match but Bert never disappoints in the money department. Fail platoons aren't fail if it's Bert IMO! My best/favorite moment in my Bert was permatracking and killing a full health T95, with him being unspotted 75% of the time! I used nearly all my ammo that match and did 100% of the damage to the T95! I was cackling and giggling like a little schoolgirl the whole match, and every time I pulled the trigger I could almost hear the string of obscenities being hurled my way thru the internet LMFAO! Bert is by far one of my favorite tanks to play. You wanna see some rage mail? Do the circle of death on some high tier heavy or TD just like you were in a light, then watch the messages pile up!
