Could be

You get 10 oil when you receive a daily crate (2500, 12500, 37000xp).

You must receive 50 oil (5 daily crates) before you can receive the clan bonuses (ship class discounts, service discounts, xp boosts etc)

Every oil you receive is pooled in the clan, and the clan commanders can use that oil as a resource to "buy" more perks and bonuses that all clan members can enjoy.

In actual matches? Nothing but the clan tag just like WoTBox.

It's all back-end. Like I said, it's minor boosts to xp depending on class, tier and nation.

Right now we have:
10% silver discount on all TT ships tiers V-VII
10% reduction in servicing cost of all BBs and cruisers.
3% xp boost to any game played in a ship of Germany, Japan, US or UK.

I don't know much more, except the remaining bonuses to unlock being servicing cost reduction for CV/DD and 3% xp boost to ships from PA, FRA and RU.

If it doesn't I'd be greatly perplexed. Check out the Credits + XP tab after a game and see what deductions/additions are made under all the drop tabs.

As far as I know, it applies to everything.

Just had the most heartbreaking choked defeat.

Tier V, top tier battle. We've kept a points lead until the end when we're left with two back-hiding full-health BBs (one was Konig) facing down a DD and like 3 enemy BBs and a cruiser. Through sheer force of willpower alone, Konig and the other guy manage to whittle the enemy to two BBs, a (once) full-health Wyoming and another BB on the other side of the map that we never saw while our other BB died.

And this Konig has just been flinging HE and doing hardly any damage despite a few kills and lots of defence ribbons.

Then I hop in the chat and point out that he's at a healthy AP range of 10km, and the Wyoming is broadside to him, and he should switch ammo.
And he does.

And he just starts deleting this Wyoming, section by section, each salvo lopping off another 10k health. Then we're down to 10 seconds game clock and we're about to lose on points anyway.
And the killing salvo is out for the last 6600hp...

And about 1 second from impact...

And the fucking game ends.
We'd have still lost, they had 2 caps to our one and no idea where their last ship was, but the points balancing from them losing a BB and ours from killing one would have been a nice middle finger to their team and forcing their win by default.

Last nights session was rough, my first game was decent( still a loss tho) but the ones after I could not seem to hit anything and my ships seemed to be made of matchsticks

So I figure this would be a good spot to ask as I have been on WOWs for awhile but still quite newbish. How do you do these missions for ships and stuff? The latest one is this french addition.

In your port, you click on the Events tab. It's sandwiched right between the Premium Shop link and the Daily Containers meter.
In this case, it's Combat Missions (Mine currently shows Events - 3, Challenges - 0, Combat Missions - 5).

Combat Missions are permanently active no matter what, so they're basically the "Gold Ops" on WoTBox. The Mission will tell you what the completion criteria is, the restrictions, reward and time remaining.

French Progression and French Addition are both 3-stage operations for Tier V vessels and above.
You receive a reward for completing each stage, and a final reward for completing all three stages on top of stage 3's own reward. This adds up to 12 crates from Addition and 13 from Progression, for 25 total crates to receive.

Unlike regular crates, these are "French crates", which are also available for purchase like other Events crates. They are opened the same way as Daily Containers. There is a chance that you will receive a ship and captain from these crates, as well as flags, doubloons and other things.
Personally - after winning 21 crates thus far (12 opened) and buying another 5 beforehand, I won the Tier V Bretagne battleship. I won it in my bought crates.
I've got nine more banked up from completing stages of both, and waiting on the last seven from the remaining op so I can test the Windows Game Bar record feature while I do a mass unboxing lol.
