I couldn't help but notice you seem to like DDs. You might want to check your email. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!! Thank you!! Yeah I've been focusing on US and German DDs for the most part. dabbling in cruisers, too. Similar to the path I took on tanks...lights and mediums have always been my faves. But that learning curve, lol. Got a free Texas for using Kaito's invite to start, and won an Atlanta over the weekend. Big leap at tier 5. Going to hang out at 3-5 for awhile, play lots of Coop and figure things out before moving up much further. Again, did something similar on tanks, and really made a difference. That Sims looks like fun!! Oh, I did get a free 10 point captain for something...signing up on twitch, I think. He's in the Nicholas right now, and might make a good crew for the Sims. |

The Sims is the epitome of the US DD line. A lot of people overlook her these days since she's been around for a long time, but they do so at their peril as she is quite capable of handing every other ship in the game their butt on a silver platter. Other Tier VII DDs would rather sandpaper a bobcat's butt in a phone booth than knife-fight with her.
The Anshan is also a great ship for getting a feel for the Soviet DDs, but providing training for PA DD crews. And the combo of 130mm guns and good 8km torps that she can stealth-fire makes her a true threat at medium to longer range. There's also the little semi-hidden 100% free xp bonus that most people overlook. Free XP makes grinds so much easier.
