Nope, Golf SC.
It's almost new, in traffic since July and very low mileage.
Funny thing is that it loads more than a Passat if the backseat is not folded.
It's a lot more fuel efficient than my old Volvo and the yearly road tax is 75% cheaper.

My father-in-law's 71 Mustang fastback. He's owned it since the early 70s, and it's spent the last couple of decades buried under a bunch of junk in this shed. We spent Sunday afternoon clearing it off, and hope to start work restoring it later this year.

But he keeps bouncing between that and a 351 Cleveland.

Leveling kit installed with new rims and tires. They look so much better with a leveling kit. What brand did you use?

Depends what he want to do really, a crate 302 would be fine for just cruising around. Or does he actually want to go fast? I not built a 351C before, but a Stroked of a 302 or 351 can make quite a bit of power.

The Cleveland is a pretty good engine. Actually, if built properly the 351W can become a beast, it's a stronger block than the 302 with more potentail. Just hard to get to the potential (because different lower intakes or spacers are needed, heads are interchangeable). It's basically a larger 302, I've seen people put them to 1000+ hp. However the 302 is cheaper and easier to work with. I got 420 hp and 385 ft/lbs of torque out of a 331 stoker that I built. I could make more power, but I used a smallish cam because it's my daily car. I do track it from time to time: ^ I spun through a lot of first gear, but got the same MPH as a new Camaro SS with slicks and an Auto, and some of my friend's gutted fox bodies. I'm going to get different rear brake lines so I can use slicks and get aftermarket rear adjustable control arms. Also a grabbier clutch and probably an upgraded transmission, maybe even a 2-step. Hopefully I can get it to hook.

The Cleveland is a pretty good engine. I'd still have a properly put together 302 over either of the 351 mills. Not that I'll be building anymore engines anyway. The stuff you can buy from the factory now is ridiculous and it comes with a warranty.

I just got the only ones I could find in Canada for a reasonable price which were from some unrememberable named company. Its just a piece of 1" hardened steel cut to shape then painted. Some are forged, some are milled, some are powder coated or just dipped. In the end it really doesn't matter for the lift IMO. Also the truck almost got stolen about a week after getting the rims but thankfully was saved by the alarm system. Just got it back on the road today after having to do some repairs and painting to the door.

We're all friends here so, you don't have to talk in code. What size is your "alarm system"? 9mm, .357, .45?

When all the numbers match up and you have all the original documentation, it's worth a whole lot more.

*necro* I bought this, always wanted one, but they are so hard to find: 1986 Mercury Capri. Exterior is ok, interior is damn near mint. As of now a V6 automatic (that D doesn't work, but 1, 2 and R do), soon to get a V8 and a manual.

We don't own any kind of classic car, but I thought about the first car I owned. This isn't my car, but same year, model, and color as my first car. It was a 1968 Mercedes that cost me $700 and I got it around 1998. Lol. Someone had removed the hood ornament and replaced it with a musical note from a trophy. My muffler fell off after driving it out to the boondocks. My friends teased me because they could hear me coming to visit from a few blocks away after that. I'm pretty sure my friends and I exceeded the weight limit-piled up 5 other girls plus me and we fishtailed along the interstate going 35 mph. Lol. Had some many fun memories in that car with my friends.
