Got a toolbox for the truck. Is it sitting on the truckbed or is there something under it? If it's sitting on the bed that's the deepest truckbox I think I've seen. I had a Silverado back when that body style first came out. I should have kept the truck and got rid of the bitch who insisted I sell it.

Heres a stock photo of it from the side.

I see the mounts now that I know what I'm looking for. You can't beat a good pickup. Looks good! Good looking YJ in the background too. That's what my daily driver is.

If you don't intend to get it running you could probably part it out on Craigslist for some extra scratch. Jeep parts are always hot items and the YJ was really the last of the old 'tough as nails' jeeps. I had to rework the brakes on mine last year. The rears from the backing plate out including fashioning new brake lines. Everything was too rusted to come apart with a wrench. I replaced my clutch a few years ago when I replaced the transmission. Did the rear seal also while I had things apart. I've pretty much rebuilt mine from the ground up with the exception of the engine itself. The straight 6 that jeep has been using for years is rock solid. Mine has well over 200k on it and purrs like a big angry kitten.

The problem is not enough car washs + Canadian winters destroys any vehicle. They use loads of salt and it rots all metal. It had over 300k on it and barely had enough power to make highway speed.

Duh. You'd think the giant red maple leaf there on the left might have given me a clue. It sounds like it lived a full life. Mine doesn't like the highway either. It'll get up to speed but it takes a while to do it. I typically take backroads for most of my travel but I've always preferred to take the scenic route.

PA winters are bad for vehicles too. Soooo much salt, horrible to the frame. It's hard to find an older vehicle around here with a decent frame. Right now I have a 1985 Chevrolet S-10 single cab 2.8 L V6 5 speed manual transmission 4WD ~45k on the odometer, but its an older 5-digit so it could be 145, 245, 345 etc. i think its 245k. It also has trouble keeping up on the highway

I see that Jeeps and bikes are popular with tankers. This is my 2010 Jeep Liberty. It now has tubular side steps. I also have a 2005 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. It has an AEM air intake and Invidia cat back exhaust with Tenzo R wheels. The bike in my profile pic is a 2003 Buell XB9R. It has a K&N filter, race ECM and Jardine exhaust.

Now that I'm running a Toyota, I'm hoping my frame holds up. You always hear about Toyotas frames turning to garbage.

2009 Silverado 2500 HD, she's a beauty and possibly the perfect work truck! Had an EGR delete done when I first got it, 450 000k and still going strong!
