I understand the Type does not lead to the T-54. My question is whether or not they are related in play style. They are apparently related, but how much different is the Type 59 from it's Soviet cousin?

I'd say it's slower, doesn't fire HEAT, its armor isn't made of stalinium, and it doesn't have russian bias. But I also don't have an awesome 5 perk crew in my Type 59 either. They're both equally fun to drive. Also I make more silver in my Type 59.

The playstyle is similar, as you can imagine. The T-54 doesn't have as good of gun depression as the type 59 does, but it does get a much better gun (use the 201 pen gun), and it gets 330 pen heat ammo. The T-54, played right, can hold it's own, even in tier X games.
