The battle is somewhat a blur at this point, so unfortunately I shan't be able to give you a full account of the actions this time around. All I really recall is the point that I realised I had nine kills, and the last remaining enemy wasn't that far away from me.
I literally started shaking as I drove up to the enemy capture circle, and moved in on the enemy Chi-Nu. I fired a shot, and went nowhere near the target. I fired another, and again missed the target by a considerable amount. My heart was thumping in my chest so loudly, that I thought my neighbor's might hear. I took a deep breath, and everything slowed down. I fired another shot, and this time it hit. I fired another, and again it hit home. An Arty shell flew over my head from friendly artillery, but fortunately for me, it missed, and I took aim, pulled the trigger, and what I had coveted for over two years was now mine.
With ten kills, 2,745 damage, and a slew of other medals earned during the game, there was only one thing that mattered to me.. I had finally achieved my first ever Pool's Medal, and I was elated. As the rush of battle subsided, the realisation of what had just happened hit me like a ton of bricks. As I sit here and try and recount the battle, those last two minutes are all I can recall, but those two minutes were the most gripping, fear inducing two minute of my tanking life, and I will ever be reminded of them by the shiniest medal I have ever seen...
