I just unlocked the E-75 today and I've been watching a lot of videos on it. I have the top package from free xp.
I'm aware many German tanks have front mounted transmissions and are susceptible to fire if penned through the lower frontal armor.
What I'm wondering is this.. In the videos I've been watching it seems a patch on the PC version may have made fires on this particular tank less of an issue if penned through the LFP. A couple of videos have said this. One video even said it's no longer an issue. Is this true and if so does this apply to the console version too? (Xbox One) Are fires an issue?
I'm running Preventative Maintenance and an Auto Extinguisher for this reason but I'm just curious if I'm wasting a skill/perk if the issue doesn't exist. I trained PM early and I only have four skills/perks, if it's a waste I'd much rather pick up Track Repair or whatever it's called. Anyhow, thanks for any info on this.

This does not apply to console. We still have the frontal transmissions.

We are still behind because lol we needed a PS4 version and WAR! maps over balance and server updates.

Though they don't seem to catch fire as often as they did 1-1.5 years ago, same with other German tanks. It might be selective memory though.

Oh yes the Great German Nerf... we ended up for the better imo. Agree with hewd, less prone to fire is how it feels.
