I've just copy and pasted below what I received from Max.
2. Will WG be doing anything about blatantly OP tanks such as the WT-E100 and the M53/55?
We closely monitor the balance of tanks and make any changes necessary. These tanks are currently performing as they should and are not showing any signs of being OP. We have even addressed the WT E-100 in the following thread as it's the most commonly mentioned tank in regards to balance. In this thread we show that it's performance is actually lower then most other TD's at it's tier.
Is the WT E-100 OP?
3. Will WG be rebalancing tier 10 TD's as the the tier 10 British turreted TD already has the PC nerfs?
The British Turreted TD's on Console do not have the PC nerfs. The FV4005 still has the unnerfed penetration values.
On the PC, the British Turreted TD's existed prior to the patch where they re-balanced the view ranges of TD's and did not receive any nerfs during this re-balance.
4. Is there any chance the players could get a representative who we could put questions to and they then come to you for answers?
We have weekly Dev Stream on Thursday hosted by RaiBOT01 where players can ask the Dev's questions. That would be a perfect opportunity to ask any questions you may have. You can talk with RaiBOT01 for more details if you want to know more.
5. PAIN said to me a while back that WG would look into balancing 5 man platoons with regards MM after the PS4 had been launched, can you say if you are close at all (obviously dates shift)
We'll be sure to take a look at this.
6. What made WG buff the Tiger 1 and 2 yet leave the Panther/M10 weak? (From another forumer)
I'm not sure what Buffs the player is referencing however the Panther/M10 is very competitive. Something to keep in mind is that Premium tanks are meant to perform slightly better than their stock tech tree counterparts, but slightly worse than their fully upgraded counterpart. This is to avoid being pay-to-win tanks and in exchange they receive Silver and XP bonuses.
7. Will we be seeing mass tank balance changes anytime soon?
- Balance is something we monitor and if changes need to happy we will make them.

Dipshit may be a little harsh. That being said, the Waffle may not be OP statwise (due to all the horrible players that just YOLO out in it), but it's clearly broken as fuck. And the War Crimes Panther is not competitive at all. Max is toeing the party line here, nothing more.

I think of max as WG's scapegoat, like players ask questions, WG lets max answer, players point out flaws in max's answers, players then think max is foolish and max takes the brunt of the mockery, while most of the rest of WG staff get left alone.
Which I guess is made evident by the fact that it was left for max to answer these questions which were directed towards someone else.

I've honestly come to be appalled by WG and their staff in relation to not only the game (to be expected I guess) but their treatment of players. I really don't have faith in WG whatsoever anymore.
Things on the forums used to be mush better. I think the departure of Lady O and NYX hurt us. We don't have the same level of interaction between parties. Now WG just straight up ignores players. They say the listen to player request. OK, so one player wanted the DR flag, how about something a lot of longtime passionate community members have been calling for? They also decide to ignore any statistical evidence that does not support their viewpoint. A pretty shitty company indeed.

She answered but she got a promotion so is no longer in the forums much. |

I can understand why people think it's bad, I mean it's not easy to use or do well in but it's potentially really good. A better and I think more logical question would be to ask why the Tiger P and VK 4502A stayed the same. Considering they are the counterparts of the tree and all. It's a good tank, you just can't do well in it if you're shit at the game. i have this tank and i will admit my stats in it are piss poor. im not shit at the game im avg to good if you take my last 2k games... but anyway yeah very rare i do well in this tank, but i struggle in most mid tier german meds, i have come top of the board in a game we won and got a 3rd class tanker badge so i think there are people that can make it work but not many of us are as good with german meds as we want to be or think we are. |

Personally I think there is an issue with mediums at tier 7 across the board, they are all pretty poor relative to the TD's and heavies of the same tier. I mean there isn't a tier 7 medium in the game I'd straight up call a good tank. But the Panther and Panther/M10 are probably the closest to it IMO. Some people will say the T20 but personally I think the inability for it to turn, lack or survivability and slow gun make it worse off as a medium tank. But yeah you need to have the medium tank playstyle down if you want to do well in any of the tier 7 mediums really. Patience, flanking, weakspots. Knowing what to do when to do it and where to do it basically. It's not easy but when you get it right, it goes really right  |
