So I bought the Achilles yesterday...
16 battles and I've only killed 1 tank and have only produced "fire for effect" 3 times...all of that was done with the stock package. I'm only at the second package now. I just can't get this tank to perform like my Wolverine (81 battles, 1.22 killed per battle). In fact, I do better in the Wolverine in a Tier 7 battle than I do in a tier 5-6 battle in the Achilles.
Was this just a bad day for me or is this a bad tank? Without researching, I figured it was pretty much a Wolverine...?

Do you have the 17pdr yet? Id say this is a case of the gun makes the tank and if you dont have the gun yet then the tanks kinda meh. But probably also abit of a bad day too.

Not sure...first upgrade. I remember that stock shows as a tier V gun and the one I'm on as a tier VI gun. I think the next package shows as a tier VII gun. I've tried forward maneuvers and mid-line maneuvers, just not working for me. I jumped on this morning for two quick battles and had a single damaging hit delivered in two battles...I'm bad to average, but I'm not that bad (at least I don't think I am). Might have to let this tank sit for a few weeks. |

Like many tanks it completely changes once you get the top package. And if you've ground the AT line once you unlock the first 17 Pounder you get the top one unlocked automatically.
It still has bad gun depression and the turret response is sluggish but at least the 17 Pounder can pen anything you might face.
