So I went up the turreted TD line for the T30 mostly, and yesterday i unlocked the E4. I decided to buy it but wasn't expecting to keep it very long expecting it to be a bit meh...I was very wrong. I LOVE the tank! I don't know quite what it is I love about it, but i tend to do pretty well in it and canit stop playing the thing. Totally not what I expected! What do you all think of the E4? (Either playing it or playing against it?)

I'm not there yet, but I've discovered the same feelings/success with the t28 Proto...said enjoyment has caused me to forget about the E3 On-Track and just continue on to the E4 eventually. I think it's the flexibility of a turret allowing better use of cover that makes this line better (for me anyway). Also, the slow Proto has forced me to only achieve mid map locations instead of getting too far forward...that has really helped me stay alive either most or all of the battle thus leading to more damage and frags.

I loved my T28 prot, and am actually gonna be saving up some silver to buy it back so i can start the T28 research grind with it (Not to keen on the T25 AT). I did have a lot of fun in the prot. though. I think i managed my 2nd MoE in it before I sold it for the T30.

Any chance you could give me some tips when you've gotten used to it, I'm waiting until a tier 10 sale before I buy mine. Thanks.

I don't know quite what it is I love about it, but i tend to do pretty well in it and canit stop playing the thing. It's the gun, the penetration is sufficient for any enemy you will encounter. Of course some enemies will require a little better aim than others. I'm right there with you, I got mine maybe a month ago and I love it too! Definitely check out Owl's guide, link posted above this post, it's got everything you need to know. I run mine exactly as the guide says and I've had a great time.

I'm working the line currently, also. I wish that was the On-Track but anyways, I'm excited for it. I'm on the T28P right now (not upgraded) and it's a love/hate thing, really. But I'm going to grind on and I think from the upgraded T28P forward, it shouldn't be too bad. I will for sure refer to the guide, also. Good stuff.

I've had the 25/2 unlocked for the better part of a year and a half, but didn't bother because of the Proto. I rarely see one do well -- they're either too late to the party to do anything, or move up only to get obliterated thanks to having zero side armor and no maneuverability.
That being typed, the E4 seems like it's a beast, and having a turret certainly interests me. So how the heck do y'all play it, then? Because I'm not really sure I'd be able to do it without getting PTSD from the lack of speed and flexibility.

T28 proto, don't know what it is, but I seem to get a lot of damage with it, but few actual kills.

Surely you don't mean that for the E4. the E4 is a great mix between a heavy tank and a TD. It's not slow either. In fact, its actually pretty quick for a heavily armoured, turreted TD with a big gun. Such a great tank. I wasn't ever thinking i'd like it but in fact its now my fav tank, already got my first MoE 60 games in and have 150,000+xp on it. if you are talking about the Prot, i recommend free xping to the 120mm, because it sucks without it. Although it's slow, the armour and 120 on it is incredible. Got 2MoE on the thing and would have had 3 if i didn't sell if for the T30. Once you get used to the speed you will probably start to like it. Incredible tank (if it has the 120...105 at least. do NOT use it with the 90!!) the T25/2 is one of those tanks people love to hate...I on the other hand really started to like it. It was a bit of a drag at first but when i had that final package I was an unstoppable sniper with the thing. It's difficult to get used to but is a great tank in the right hands. Hope that helped!

Lol, yes -- I meant the Proto. I've come to not like super slow tanks all that much. Add in the open top and arty love it seems to attract, and I've just not been too terribly interested. The 25/2 seems okay enough, though I do wish it could mount the 105, so that's never bothered me too much. Seems like a solid, if not spectacular, tank.

I think it just gets it's bad name because it's in between 2 incredible (albeit totally different) tanks

I have started to really click with the 25/2 w/ top package. I have been the last tank a few times because the reds just steam roll the greens. But, I'll have most damage on the team. I have managed to take out a T37 and 12T in CQB with it. The gun depression and mantle is a great combo. Been building my silver reserve for the Proto. Don't have the free exp. to skip the 90mm so i'm going to be hating life for alitle bit with the Proto. Wish they made the Proto discounted with the T28 since you can go from the Ptot to the T28 to get to the E3 as well. But, I'm not able to shot any Reds for the next month almost so I'll be waiting to get to the E4 and the Awesomeness that it is.

The increase in velocity of the APCR really makes this thing shine. I know its overkill but the gun feels so much better with the APCR round. Its the ONLY tank I have that doesn't carry standard AP. I have 5 HE and the rest is APCR.
