I have it fully upgraded and love driving it. I am however struggling a bit with whether to angle or play it straight on.
Anyone have insight into this?

Never angle a tank with a pike nose.
You want to be hull down or sidescraping whenever possible.

Owl, not sure that it has a pike like the 110 or the Is 3. Built like the is4. Does that still classify it as a pike?

I just pulled up tanks.gg to check the armor model. Looks like its complete crap and shows weakspots either way. Best bet is to sit in whatever way will allow you to get back in cover easier. When straight on the uppler plate is around 210 effective, while angled the shoulder plate was between 190-250 armor |

If you find yourself up close to a red tank with decent pen, try to get close but not to face hugging distance. It will often make the other guy shoot straight at your turret, especially if you wiggle/move back and forward. If you get too close you will expose the hatches and turret roof too much, too far away and it goes through your hull.
This seems to work really good against other heavies like the ST-I and E75.
If there is any chance to hide your hull completely or side scrape, then that's the best option though.
