Not to sure i'm afraid i can't find a limit mentioned anywhere in the admin panel. I'll get back to you on this.

If you use the 'add attachment" method the limit is 3. I don't know about the standard way. R35T is testing this for you now  |

So far i've been able to post successfully with 30 images in 1 post. Granted the images were not very large but i'm not sure that matters too much. I'm not going to go further than 30 however as i'm not sure anyone would ever need to post more pics than that in a single post.
