So I'm still learning and I'm wondering about armor. Some tanks are known for derp guns like the KV-2 or the Borsig with the 15cm equipped. Of course there are many more tanks that fit that description. Some tanks are known for great mobility like an ELC or a Locust.
You know what I mean, these tanks are sort of defined by these qualities that they have compared to other tanks.
So what tanks are most known for having excellent armor over it's competitors? I'm aware that the Maus and the E-100 are known for having great armor. (Of course you need to hide the lower frontal armor) I seem to bounce a lot in the KV-1 in a top tier match. I've heard of the KV-4 having good armor but I've only just unlocked the KV-3, also good armor I hear, and haven't purchased it yet.
What other tanks are known for great armor? Thanks for reading, love this place.

The T29 has excellent turret armour. Hull down, this thing is practically impregnable. Yeah, I forgot to mention that. Just last night on campenberg I made a T28 prototype have to turn around and attempt to go the other way. I has hull down in the hills on the southeast side of the map and they just kept bouncing off the turret from the other side of the south bridge. They finally gave up and tried to leave, but I side shot the crap out of them for an easy kill! I think I blocked over 4,000 damage just from that one engagement. |

T-150, KV-3, KV-4, ST-I are notable for it. The Black Prince is quite solid too. Matilda most certainly. Pz. 38H and H35. T18. AMX 40. A few others. T-127 can be quite good, but it isn't amazing.

Pershing hull down is one to be added. For a Medium it's tough. And of course the E75 especially when side-scraping.

Something that is rarely mentioned is the tier II T57 american arty. 29mm sloped front hull, 25mm sloped side and 25mm on the rear.
