Just noticed that the American M4A1 (105) package carries 46 derp rounds, while the British Sherman IIIB package has capacity if 66 rounds HE/HEAT. Given that 46 rounds is ample, any idea why the Brit tank gets a significant increase in carrying capacity?

Well, I thought maybe there is a real-world, historical reason for the difference. Guess we can chalk it up to Brits enjoying a tidy, well-organized work place. Less clutter means more room in the tank for ammo. ;-)

Why do people like the M4 and Sherman III? Besides the historical value, even the derp isn't reliable, Hate the Sherman III so much.
WG Gave it more ammo to make it look different from the US Sherman. #britishwin

I believe it is due to the tank's historical significance. The American M4 has a permanent place in my garage. So do the Pz. IV (H) and the T-34, though none of them is a stellar performer in-game.
I however see no need to keep the Sherman III, and plan to sell it as soon as I get the Mastery badge for it. That could take a while though, based on how things have been going so far...

WG Gave it more ammo to make it look different from the US Sherman. #britishwin Yeah, historical value really. It looks cool. Turret is fairly strong too, and the derp is fun. That's about it. I also like that the Sherman III is the most historical variant of the standard M4 Sherman there is in the game (not the A3E8 or A3E2). With the American M4 Sherman you get the early rounded hull but can use the 76mm and better turret on it for some reason. |
