Started playing GF on the PC tonight. Only 2 matches and the UI sucks but I had more fun than I had in WOT in ages. That's what I'm struggling with, especially how the XP works when it comes to researching. I watched a vid on YouTube that runs through the basics (although it's from PC beta) like crew skills and stuff but I have no clue how the XP I used. I love the way you can test premium tanks before you buy them as well, and those TOW missiles look so much fun. And i agree, even though the UI sucks it's so much fun. |

The Americans are quite good, at the low tiers they have a nice mix of speed and firepower with those .50s, and they're not catastrophically unmaneouvrable either, although obviously the British and Russians outdo them in that regard. Especially the P-40E1, it may have a few reliability issues engine wise in RB, but I've heard that thing dominates in a zoomer role |

Wonder what would be considered the more skill based game WT ( ground forces) or WOT? I would say War Thunder, it is much more unforgiving. If you make a single mistake you are dead, there is no pulling back into cover when almost every shot can one-hit kill you. Though they take different types of skill, WoT is much more about learning angles and maneuverability between vehicles. I would say WT is more about learning exactly when to make your move, and WoT is learning about how to make your move. |

I've only tried them on a test drive so far but they look fun. If anything I'm struggling with the aircraft side of it, I'm assuming that most down where I am are having the same problem as me with tanks so I'm not finding it that bad. I've just got to get used to thinking I'm driving a snakebite all the time. |

If you gun has too much pen you could even go in one side and out the other without doing much damage, and the repairs take much longer as well (though I've only got shit crews). |
