I tried War Thunder but my low budget PC wasn't up to the task. How does it run on PS4? I'd love to try the PS4 Camera head tracking thing but it's hard to justify the expense for just one game. I kinda wonder why more developers don't make use of head tracking, seems like it would be a natural for racing games and shooters etc. Does anyone here use it? I'd also need some kinda flight stick, an airplane game should have airplane controls. Rudder pedals too? The list is endless..

Don't think he's ever tried the headtracking ting though. And really the whole pedals and stick setup for planes is really only useful for Simulator battle modes. Useless for arcade because you'll just get clubbed by mouse aim players constantly. You could do it in RB, especially if you're good at flying with those controls. Mouse aim can still be used in RB though but it's not as much of an advantage in RB over a stick really. |

So I finally went and got me a PS4  I played a LOT of Birds of Steel on the 360, so now I gotta learn the War Thunder changes as well as the Play Station changes. Right now I'm just trying to struggle along in Realistic mode with a Dualshock controller, my old Xbox flight stick doesn't work on PS4 for some reason  I know I would probably score better with a mouse and keyboard but the pilot in me just won't let fly that way, even in a video game LoL. Flight sticks are more fun anyways. Still thinking about trying the head tracking thing... Anyone here active on the War Thunder forum? They say I need to finish 2 battles before I can post there and I've done about a half dozen with no joy? |

In the past I had some good friends on the Gaijin Birds of Steel forum who were very helpful, so's I just naturally thought the Gaijin War Thunder forum would be the same type of place. Is it not? Where do you recommend I go to learn about War Thunder? |

That guy has the best War Thunder channel. Also I think Magz quite War Thunder after the copyright strike bollocks the other week so don't expect much in the way of regular War Thunder uploads from him. |

Thanks guys, but I'm not so much interested in who's daddy's plane can beat up who but rather how to best use the War Thunder software with a PS4. Things like how to best program a flight stick or dualshock controller, or how to set up a custom difficulty match with just one player and a handful of bots that other people can join if they wish, or how to fly a mission editor with other players online, or which maps are available for which type of game, or how to play a tank match without messing up my airplane control scheme. These are things that with the forum's help I eventually got the hang of w Birds of Steel, looks like this game might be a little more complicated. The annoying WT forum is still not letting me post LoL
