I was in a 1 v 7 once and did the most damage in the game. But got hatemail cause I was useless. He doesnt understand TOG.

Let me start off by saying that this is not meant to be a TOG bashing post, but I do not understand the love for the tank. I see them on the reds in any Tier 6 tank and up and I am happy due to the HP pool that they offer. The armor is the problem. It just seems to be lacking to me. I do not own one so I could just be running into a only bad TOG drivers. I took out a platoon of them the other day in my T-34-85, went through about half my ammo that game. Got my third MOE as well. If they follow the PC track at some point the TOG may not be offered for sale again so I am wondering if I should pick one up, just not sure due to the issues I mentioned. Because 5 TOGs have a combined 7,000 hit points. Seven. Thousand. H. Freaking. P. At tier VI and, at most, tier VII. Add in the fact they can sling a 17 lb. shell downrange once a second (if they take turns firing) and there just isn't anything other than five KV-2s/arty that can even take them out before getting vaporized. Seriously--tanks just melt away when a TOG platoon is competent. That is why TOG is best party tank in the game. TOG is love. TOG is life. |

HMS Temeraire appreciates the KV-2s slow rof and the usual substandard performance of the drivers whose only thought is big gun go boom lol I've never even played the KV-2 but I've played a TOG and I know the pain when a KV-2 appears and takes off your nice health pool. And it sucks when the KV-2 has help to cover him when he reloads... Got burned playing a KV2 on Lakeville in this exact situation before. I took a serious chunk of health out of the TOG, but couldn't get backed around the corner before he reloaded and made me go "Poof". |
