Got home from work today to find that my Xbox account had been permanently suspended. Absolutely stunned by this, I checked out the reasoning behind the ban and apparently it had stemmed from a rather spicy interaction I had with an incredibly salty player just a few days ago. He sent me some nasty messages, so I responded in a rather trollish manner ... whatever it was, something set off the Xbox Enforcement bullshit and I was issued a chat ban for a few days and then the permanent suspension of my account a few hours later.
I have only been chat-banned probably 3-4 other instances over the past couple of years, but for whatever reason it was the final straw for Xbox. I am honestly not surprised, as this playerbase is probably the bitchiest and most toxic that I had ever come across in my years of gaming. Funnily enough, I had just purchased the season pass last night and bought the 12,000 gold pack to splurge on a few low-tier premiums.
I guess this is a sign from a higher power that I should probably quit this game for good, because honestly ever since 6.0 this game has been more frustrating and rage-inducing than anything.
I had initially taken almost a year-long break for the second half of 2021 going into last summer but got back into the game again. I guess this is God's way of telling me I need to break away from the addiction known as WoT Console
It's been a bumpy ride, but there's no doubt that this game is nowhere near as good as it used to be, and at this point, no matter how many mistakes the Devs "fix" from 6.0 and Mercenaries, I honestly believe the game has reached the point of no return in terms of player numbers/salvageability.
It's been a pleasure.
