this from Wg...
Hello everyone!
Starting Now we have enabled the Pairs Based Matchmaking again until Server Restart on Tuesday
These were the rules during this matchmaking test:
• Teams are matched perfectly by tank tier - if team one has 10 Tier VI tanks, then team two has exactly 10 Tier VI tanks as well.
• Teams are best - matched by tank class - specifically mirrored - if team one has 5 Tier VI medium tanks 2 Tier V medium tanks, then team two has:
• Perfect Match - 5 Tier VI medium tanks and 2 Tier V medium tanks exactly - no more no less
• Option 1 Imperfect Match - [4|6] Tier VI medium tanks and 2 Tier V medium tanks
• Option 2 Imperfect Match - 5 Tier VI medium tanks and [1|3] Tier V medium tanks
• Platoons should be as evenly distributed as possible:
• Team one having a Top Tier Platoon and Team two having a Bottom Tier platoon is fine - if two platoons are off by 2 tiers, there is no way to make a better result
• Team one having 2 Top Tier Platoons and Team two having 2 Bottom Tier platoons is not fine - in this case, each side should have a Top Tier platoon and a Bottom Tier Platoon.
• SPGs are handled specially - each team has the same composition by tier
• Team one has a Tier V SPG - then Team two also only has a Tier V SPG
These rules are unchanged from the earlier matchmaking test that we conducted in June.
• One additional fix we implemented was to address the issue of one team getting two top tier platoons and the other team getting two bottom tier platoons. This should not occur anymore.
We will share a form during the weekend (I will make a separate post for this) for you to share your feedback with us BUT I would like to ask you to pay attention to the matchmaker.
If you spot any inconsistencies or obvious errors / issues outside of the mentioned imperfect match options, please share a screenshot in matchmaking-test-july-2022 with us where the matchmaking is visible and your gamertag is included. This way we can track down what happened 🙂
If you have any questions, please leave a comment in ask-the-team so we can address them.
