Hey guys, don't know if you saw it, but there's an on-track for the E50M starting today. I was doing soviet for medium line (T62A) and I am at tier VI right now halfway to VII, but this really makes me want to switch to medium (i got the tier VI tank ready to buy at a discount). You think it's worth it? I heard the E50M (which I obviously never played) had much better armor but his much slower too. I guess I gotta be more into heavies than traditional all-around mediums? Thanks for the tips!

Yes. I agree with advice Aschenblume gave you before that focusing on one line is key, and when these events happen, you can quickly research 2 or 3 tanks, depending on tier. All of the tanks in the E50 line are fun to drive, as long as you realize that many of them are sniping, second-line mediums and not brawlers like the soviet line.

Yeah as i was saying yesterday, I need to get to a higher tier so I can stay platoon-worthy, so I think ill leave the soviets in the garage for a while. I'm all out of garage slots though (dammit WG!). I really feel like i'm getting fucked when buying one for 300g. Maybe i'll just sell that unused, dust-collecting T40 or something, cause I wanna keep that PZ IV

I suggest you sacrifice the gold for a few slots...you may want to keep the 30.02m.

Or does the PZ IV still offer something, since I find it to be a really well-rounded tank. I guess my question would be, at what tier does the line switch from "classic" mediums to "heavier" mediums? Thanks!

The line is pretty good. The tier 6 is the traditional panther with the turret, hull and gun. It's a good all round support vehicle. The tier 7 Panther is mediocre because of its Damage output. Even though it has high penetration it's damage is quite low. It's a good sniper but not amazing. The armour is not bad as well and take hits nicely. The Panther II is a modified Panther with a better gun and slightly better armour. You shouldn't rely on it but it can do well. Again, a sniper. The tier 9/10 I'm currently working on myself as I'm only 20k away from the E-50. And boy I've heard amazing things when this tank is fully upgraded.
The tank line is a sniping line but the tier 10 can be with heavies. It's pretty well armoured and good speed but the problem is that they have the worst DPM out of the high tier mediums. They're also pretty large for mediums but I think that's where the 271mm or penetration comes in. Also, russian mediums can't ram tanks as good as the E-50m

Maybe i'll just sell that unused, dust-collecting T40 or something, cause I wanna keep that PZ IV starting out and managing garage slots is tough. my advice, get the parking pass of 10 spots at 150 Gold a piece. after 20 slots added (and premiums tank slots if you get them) you will have a lot more flexibility. Some guys sell all the way up, but I choose to have tanks of each class in each nation and in many tiers to make platooning fun. I admit that I have way too many slots and tanks, but I don't have to worry about what to do when these events occur. I never buy garage slots at full cost either

Thanks! Oh my...it's been ages since I played the tech tree Pz IV so I don't know how to answer. I just really enjoy the way the M plays. I just got the Panther the other day before this on-track was announced so I'm still on the stock package (stock package is slow). Also, I love tier 6, so the M is effective enough to keep along with the other great tier 6 mediums (for me anyway). Sorry again, but I'm not knowledgable enough to answer the "heavier" medium part of your question. I'm hoping to make it through both Panthers with this on-track and hopefully get the tier 9. Even with these on-tracks, I tend to get a little burned out with battle after battle in the same tank.

I like the E50M, but I struggle with my W/R and I'm sure I'm not playing it correctly. It has an amazing cannon even though the RoF is lacking slightly. I really enjoyed the Tier 9 E50 more and will probably repurchase it.

If you really enjoy playing the E50 with your crew that has perks, is it worth pulling that crew into the E50M? Sounds like a stupid question, but from what I have read, I'm not sure I will enjoy the 50M as much as the Tier 9 E50. Would like to keep a tank I enjoy.

I sold the E50 and moved my 7 perk crew into the E50 M. I'm contemplating repurchasing the E50 and moving my crew back since I don't really take the M out anymore due to my 140 and STB-1.

This is another line that I feel like I would really like. I probably won't be participating in the On-Track strictly because I have other lines that I am focusing on. I should learn to focus on specific lines and just bust them out, but I always play around. Either way, the E50M line seems fun, especially at tier 9 and 10.

Snorelacks, if you don't mind my asking, did you like the E50M while you played it? To be honest, I do like it; however, I struggle mightily in it with a lowly 45% W/R after 257 battles. I'm sure I'm the culprit for the poor performance given that I've seen others do extremely well with it. I had almost exactly the same amount of E 50 battles (262) and was able to scratch out a 56% W/R, some of which I'm sure was due to seeing lower tier tanks.
I haven't taken it out of the garage in over a month, primarily because there are other tanks I enjoy more, and perform better with at Tier 10- 140, STB-1. I'm not going to sell it like I did my T110E4 (I still kick myself and will buy that one back too), and I do intend to circle back to it at some point to figure out how to be respectable in it.

I have to say the E50 is my favorite of the line the M doesn't really bring a lot more to the table other than standard APCR and dramatic hull traverse speed increases. Sure there's the fire issue but I don't really notice the E50 catching fire all that often. Plus the M never sees tier VII's unlike the E50

This On Track has motivated me to finally grind this line. I had been putting it off for forever (since the OG 30.01H got zapped). Just unlocked the Panther II. First match was on Dragon Ridge. Took a hit in the engine. The stock engine. Climbing those hills with hamster wheel power seriously almost made me put down the controller. Used gold to fully upgrade, because screw one more painful match looking at that hideous stock turret.
The gun "upgrade" was a fun little surprise, too.
