I was trolling the soon to be dead forum when I saw a post on a thread about the game getting rid of veteran players. My friend, PhonicKitty8825 made a statement about how they haven’t seen a single veteran go away and stay away like they said they would.
I was sorely tempted to respond, but that would just prove their point. I’ll admit that I did go back there twice after swearing off that community.
First was when they announced that the Official Forum was on its way out, and that was mostly about encouraging folks to come here instead.
Second was when my very good friend, Ditch Doc posted about the Colorado wildfires narrowly missing his home.
I considered these two things as special occasions and while I won’t apologize for them I’ll concede their point.
Ok Kitty you got me there but I’m not gonna be baited into your trap either.

I haven’t played since Downgrade 6.0 and I have posted sparingly since then. I didn’t make a good bye thread and have no plans to do so. I’m sure that I’m not the only one who has done this. I do look at the threads from time to time to see what the apologist as saying but as far as playing, or more importantly, investing my money there, I didn’t buy the year of Premium Time on Black Friday of 2020 prior to 6.0 as I didn’t like where I seen the game going, specifically True Vision

I dropped the game for a year when I was initially permabanned from the forum. Aside from the few threads linked here and there on this site I haven't bothered reading the forum since.
I was eventually coerced back into playing the game by some of the folks here to play a few games, but I didn't put any money into it and played with a silver account. After about 3 months I dropped it again and I've not picked it back up since.

That individual doesn’t have two brain cells to rub together. I haven’t touched the game nor gone on the forum since December of 2020. I appreciate how you feel and Kitty can be trolling, but I’ve had some pretty good interactions with them. I try to focus on that, and the truth of our mutual interest in the game. They were really surprised one day when I gave them a mention on the “Forumers you saw” thread. It was like, “Wow, you actually said something nice to me” kinda thing, and we’ve been ok since then. The game misses you, and I personally miss your straight forward posts and generally agreed with things you said there. But what the hell, here we are now. Good to hear from you bro. |

I guess that would stop me from posting there afterwards eh? lol TBH...there were a few folks over on the other forum that were decent. The big issue was that folks at WG or the sycophants like BrogueOne were not very good at taking constructive criticism and got heavy handed all of a sudden. It drove off lots of people and combined with shitty updates left a gaping hole. I'm still playing, but only WWII and I'm just dicking around marking some tanks and entertaining myself in different ways....playing the skill cannon with nothing but AP, 3-marking the M44 with nothing but HEAT, etc. |

I’m having mounting physical issues with my hands that make active gaming more of a challenge and my abilities are diminishing to the point I’m playing less so there’s no point in it for me anymore. |

I wrecked my back and left shoulder in several incidents over the years so the nerve damage is catching up with me. I’m still good for about 6-10 games if I don’t play Light tanks. I did get to retire due to disability at age 49, and that was 12 years ago. I’ve had enough of being ignored by most of that community while whining shills get tons of attention just for making asinine statements. Plus the Devs don’t give a shit either. So I’m done with them. |
