Thread to pick your favorite two foods of all time. Beer or bourbon does not count...or I would have picked it. Mine two are a Korean Beef Stir Fry my wife makes. I think she'd divorce me if I had her make it five times a week. My second favorite food is: BBQ Beef Plate Ribs (Dino Ribs). I never looked at pork ribs the same again after I ate these. I've gotten them down pretty well on my smoker now and found a good butcher that can get them for me. Bonus favorite meal...is any meal that Jester pays for.  |

Brisket Grilled Cheese from Brotherton's Black Iron BBQ in the next town over.  All Meat (Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Bacon, and Canadian bacon) Deep Dish Pizza from Sangiovanni Distillery Pizzeria & Daiquiris in that same town.  |

#1 Corned Beef and Pastrami Sandwich  Surprisingly Jason's Deli makes one of the best ones I normally can find locally. Did get a fantastic one while in Chicago. #2 Lamb (Lamb chops, lamb shank, leg of lamb...)  Probably one of better places to get lamb is from a Brazilian steakhouse/churrascaria. If you've never been to a Texas de Brazil and Fogo de Chao, you are missing out. Make sure to get some mint jelly also. |

This is a though call for me as there’s only a handful of things I don’t care for.
The wife is an outstanding cook, and I do ok myself. My birthday meal was traditionally a nice medium/rare porterhouse with a lobster tail, and baked potato. Then homemade German chocolate cake so I’ll have to go with that.
I will give a shout out to Lambert’s in Gulf Shores Ala where this northern guy was introduced to hog jowls. If you like bacon, then you will find jowls amazingly great. Their fried okra, and many other sides are complimented by “throwed rolls”, and yes they do throw them to/at you.

Anything from Dairy Queen or Jack in the Box  You can't go wrong with a medium twist cone or a Dilly Bar!! Never been one for Jack in the Box, but they were popular in AZ when I was growing up. Not sure they're even in MN. Interesting note...I used to spend considerable time in Australia and they call Burger King...Hungry Jacks down there....same logo, menu, etc. |
