Last month I bought 3 months of xbox ultimate game pass for $1. Usually I end up buying a game or two when I do this. NOT THIS TIME!!!!
Every game I download just pisses me off one way or another. Tried Snow runner, takes too long to get anything done and you can fuck up hours of work in the matter of seconds.
GTA5 online fixed the glitch that let you kick out everybody but yourself and enjoy all the cool online extras without random assholes blowing you up. So thats no more fun.
MotoGP 20 is cooler and better but I'm just tired of going around the damn cirlces over and over.
Fallout 76 tried that 3 diffetent times. Got to level 21 on my last try and gave up becuase I still struggling like a level 1. Not gonna keep paying money to play an online game just to fucking struggle.
Finally Farm Simulator 19. Finally John Deeres. Theres other new things but more fuck ups that really make say what the hell. I gave up on the egg farm. Had 8 boxes to stack in to a truck. I already do this enough as a package handler, not gonna do this in a game where it's 10x harder than real fucking life. Actually I could still do it faster in real life if I had no fucking hands, I'd stack those boxes faster with arm nubs than with the stupid ass goddam fucking pointer they have you do it with in the game. WHY DON'T THEY PUT IT ON PALLETS LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE!?!?
I deleted all these games and canceled my subscription. Glad it only cost me a dollar.
Ten years ago they made fun games. Now you have to pay to work more after coming home from work. Pay for fucking internet then pay for the game subscription, the game your essentially renting isn't even complete and it's always a work in progress. A fucking micro trabsaction in just about every game now days.
I'm so mad becuase I'm running out of shit to do when I have nothing to do. Every hobby I've tried to pick up in the last two years has turned in to a fruitless chase for one reason or another. I'm sick of spending money and time to learn something new only to lise interest a month later.

I know the feeling.
My problem is time, I don’t have any to invest in games and the ones I do don’t interest me anymore. The games I really enjoy (Civ 6, age of wonders planetfall, stellaris) I cant get a good session going. So many games are not worth the hassle anymore.
I’m hoping to start shooting again, but again finding time is rough, plus it’s not cheap.
The only hobbies/pastimes I have is watching everyone else in my family do theirs.
No cheap, fun hobbies seem to exist anymore and I’m burning out.

I agree on the time thing. Totally forgot to add that. It's like they want you to spend even more time getting stuff done.
One game I do keep playing is Fallout Shelter on my Switch. Just a few minutes a day seems to accomplish alot vetsus the last 3 days I wasted puttibg a farm toghether on Farm Simulator.

I guess I lied. Even though I cancelled my subcription I still have Gamepass til August. Gave one last game a try. When I first saw it I thought it was silly but it's a new idea in a new direction.
Man Eater is actually pretty good. Thanks to Shark Week I thought it would be cool to live the life of a shark and in Man Eater you get an idea. I learned the ABCs (Always Be Chompin') real quick and have been having a blast since I started. I'm about half way through and still having fun, no burn out yet. It's not overly grindy and they don't have 300 collectables to find in each level or area. Which is really nice becuase getting the stuff that you unlock when finding all the collectables makes it worthwhile to find them and makes the game more fun.
I grew from a baby pup shark to a teen, then an adult, then an elder. I could have done that sooner (probably like lvl 25) becuase an hour later I hit lvl 30 and became a Mega shark. No boat will be big enough to catch me now. lol. It's a fun simple game, the only thing I don't like is having to swim around in dark caves to find some of the collectables but thats not bad. It's worth checking out for sure.

Maybe a little hack and slash is all I need.

Finished it last night. Completed the story and collected all the collectables (even though some were in tunnels and caves it wasn't so bad. Plus you can quick travel "home" if you get lost unlike in Fallout). I got 100% completion in all the areas! The only other game I got all the acheivements on was WOT until they added 25 more on some of them being harder than the orininal acheivements. Best part is, it wasn't overly grindy. I still wanna play the game and just chomp on unsuspecting swimmers and shark hunters and other fish of the ocean. I guess if I got bored I wouldn't be afraid to play it over again either.
Some DLC is supposed to come in "summer" Looking foward to it!

I kinda feel as though I'm closing in on this. A lot of competitive online games just make me irate, and those I would normally enjoy or look forward to in single player have just become plain boring.
If I can force myself to boot a game up I might play it for around 2 levels or 2 hours before becoming uninterested and I hate it. The only reason why I keep up my subscription is because others in my household might still want to play online on read dead or something, or on the off chance I do really want to play something again.
Fuck even pokemon has finally decided to innovate a bit and I have no hype for it whatsoever. It's killing me man.
~ Okay to be honest The Messenger has proven to be a really good time.

I’m at a point now where it feels like j can’t be bothered anymore.
Burned out on warships legends. Look at my games I own and have 0 interest in any of them. Look at others to buy and I just can’t be bothered to purchase.
Feels odd

I haven't bought the Maneater update yet that I mentioned before. They did add all the acheivements that I can't unlock so my game is uncomplete now until I do that, some day. I just play wows daily now, but only long enough to complete the daily trails for steel or 3 wins during ranked. I call it the long short grind for the FDR (it probably won't be worth it by the time I get it). Funny how much I get done doing this. I did go past this a few times for Marlburough and Chumphon (not worth it). I have decided I will try to keep playing WOWS like this til the game does actually die. I wish I had kept up with WOT console sometimes becuase I didn't really think it would last this long yet it still goes on.

I honestly feel like I am loosing interest in modern games. I mean modern games just feel stale. Nothing really new or interesting in most. And they require too much time, games that take dozens of hrs to complete. I am mostly playing retro games and some tanks and wowsl. Once wot and wowsl are no longer supported on xbox one I am done I just don't think I will bother getting a console there just is not enough interest there.

I kinda wish I did with WOTC as well, but certainly too late to get back into it now. Really don’t have time for gaming it seems. At least not enough to sit down and really enjoy it

I think that’s a big part of the issue, the games I really enjoy were older. I really wish i could play P.T.O again but have no way to play it. Thought about purchasing a steam deck, but am going to hold off until i see if it’s successful. Some games on steam I would like to play again but can’t afford a new computer

There are a few decent clone consoles you can get. Then you would need a copy of P.T.O or whatever game you like. You can also buy clone console with the game roms built in, or emulate them on a PC though getting the roms for emulation on a PC could cause some legal issues depending where you live and your luck.
P.T.O was a good game, I also like Panzer General, and Super Conflict was ok. I still really enjoy Pac-man, Galaga and the SMB games.
