Today has been a good day, for I hath learnt that motherfuckin' Goblin Slayer is getting an anime it appears.




I imagine it's not gonna be as 'adult' as it gets, but aside from that I can only hope that Orcbold gets a good VA.

Well at least I can hope they do it well, although I'm curious to know how they will handle the animation of it all.
The manga makes it very clear right off the bat how gruesome it's going to be, Berserk spent ages setting everything up for that one scene where Griffith becomes evil and Casca loses her mind.
So long that by then I was bored and really didn't care about what happened to any of them.


Whereas Goblin Slayer just kind of makes it apparent what they are like almost instantly.

ABS is one of my favorites.

Kind of going off this as a little ramble following up from having to have an argument against one of the KMD Chaps who thinks the current trend of Isekai anime where the main premise of the protagonist is to be as bland as possible so that the more 'obsessed' fans can self insert themselves as the stupid cunt with all this harem of bodacious chicks.

Now, you've not shown much interest in Hero Acadamia because of expecting it to be one of those that just goes on for an asinine amount of episodes. Fair play because I can't imagine how the fuck people kept up with Naruto and whatnot. 


But I will say this, Midoriya as it stands I think has it in him to be one of the best protagonists out there. And by far one of the best 'heroes' in an anime, because they tend to paint them actually as quite bad I find and even Acadamia does that (Though OPM did it more with how almost all of them were only in it for the pay). 
He's this kid who was born with nothing in a world filled with Quirks, who lived his childhood looking up to the Symbol of Justice 'All-Might' but forever left in the shadows.


But from that, he has an incredible sense of selflessness. When even All-Might himself holds off on trying to save Bakugo, a kid who spent almost all his time bullying Midoriya, he was the first to rush in because from a single glance it looked like he was crying for help. Which was enough to make All-Might realise what was wrong with his thoughts of just leaving it to another.
When 'You Say Run', perhaps the best song from it all first plays, it is after he has been given the power of One For All but is failing in the runnings for actually making it into the academy until he sees a girl who had helped him not trip up earlier with her foot caught in rubble, yet while bloody pissing himself in this completely new environment he is yet again the first to rush in to help.

The kid with nothing is given the most powerful Quirk in the 'world' of Acadamia and the spirit of what it means to truly be a Hero. Going as far as to use tactics that 'scare' people so much as he repeatedly breaks his own fingers on purpose as he cannot yet control the power purely to help a friend escape from his past.



Honestly, I don't think we'll ever see him at his full power, I cannot imagine they will prolong it long enough to actually have them grow up and fight the super bad evil lurking villain ever in the background and win, nor just time leap centuries to show that it happened somewhere inbetween. I just hope that from this and other examples people can stop with the trash self-inserts and realise just how good having a full fledged character arc is.

As I've also seen, Saekano has fucking Sorairo Days play in it.

I don't think I'll ever like a character enough to send death threats over them being annoying in a show. My God, these people need lives. I mean, I'm a weeb, but I'm not nearly this extreme of a devotee of a certain character.
