Since I guess this is what the thread is going to be now 
Have you watched either Joukamachi no Dandelion (Castle Town Dandelion) or ReLIFE.
Joukamachi was one of the most enjoyable that I watched last year, even though it took me quite a while to actually get around to it like usual.

Probably one of the more easy ones to go back and rewatch through as well.

ReLIFE was a rather odd one, although still very much enjoyable (Pretty sure I used it as a means of staying awake during an all-nighter actually...)
It was quite odd because as far as I'm aware, it seemed to get through the episodes very quickly and for the site I used, it got them all up at once which did prove to be the saviour for keeping me awake that night.


Both are quite nice slice of life, to some extent RomComs with no super serious plot hiding in the background just waiting to appear. And Joukamachi actually seemed quite similar to Mikakunin which I very much enjoyed seeing as the 'main' character was rather adorable, and not in the waifu sense.
I'm never gonna go that far.




I'm also thinking of bringing it up in the Shitbox, mostly because it is easier for back 'n forth than this, but mostly as I think it'd be bloody hilarious to see if it makes a few others concerned about my sanity.
It did get an anime technically, although I think it was only an OVA of sorts and not a full fledged series, which is okay since it was absolutely pathetic.

Just finished Sword art online 2, on Netflix.
Nice fun series, although the lecherous proving camera did annoy me at times...
I spent two episodes trying to figure out what the plot significance of Sinons bum was. they kept showing it during deep conversations and it honestly was done in a way that made it seem plot important. Hell i was starting to wonder if maybe it had a tracking bug on it or something.. 😁

I'm absolutely loving Re:Creators. I just finished episode 18, and I have to actually force myself to not jump ahead and keep watching so I can make it last. I haven't had a show hook me like this in a long time. I think the last time I can remember getting this hooked was when Re:Zero was new.

You're right, best anime 2017.

I'd be good with that, I felt the first half of season 1 was by far the strongest point of the series. If he can expand and make it better, I'm more than willing to watch.

Apparently the new movie Ordinal Scale is "the sequel we never got" for the original Aincrad arc, at least according to Gigguk, who I would trust on this sort of thing.

You can sort of see why I'd hope to get it on DVD then as the first Anime on DVD Wingy 
There's so many great points about it but I'd certainly say the fact that it took the whole 'Living in Another World' trope that is now something that a lot of animes and mangas are going towards and then did it the other way is probably one of the best aspects of it.

Most wont really bother with that kind of thing, I mean why would you, you could go for the traditional boring old protagonist living in another world with a harem of lasses for a quick buck. Yet not just does Re:Creators decide to take that risk to flip it but it does so with such an incredible amount of effort.

The characters, the animation, the fucking music and the story as a whole. At any given point it could have flopped with a single mistake yet it manages to never make it.
The sheer level of detail with little tidbits like Meteora's magic. There's the one scene where you see the individual lights of the Mech light up as it activates and begins to stand up and it is such a little tiny bit of detail but I fucking love it.

Compare that to say, Qualidea Code that just flopped massively.




I'd bloody love it if I could go through it again unaware of how it plays out but even having already watched it, it doesn't ruin the experience. How could it with such enjoyable characters and even villains.




Honestly, SAO just felt like a huge disappointment once it left Sword Art Online. 
That seemed like it should have been the whole premise, them stuck in this world and living in it while y'know their bodies were still there in the real world and the ever-present risk of death which meant dying in the real world as well as the game.

Then boom it's done, in an absurd manner at that because hey protagonist invincibility and from that point on it just got boring cause you know Kirito gon save everyone in his harem.
They also didn't give Lisbeth enough time as an actual character and not just one of those in the harem.

I have watched it indeed, I do think it's quite a nice anime but it is very apparent right off the bat what it is.

It's not something with great plot twists, amazing OST or whatever like Re:Creators, TTGL, you name it. It's about a bunch of young kids living in the countryside and so the worst possible scenario is that one of them gets in a fight with their parents for like a day.

There is Non Non Biyori Repeat, but that's pretty much just the same thing just slightly improved with a few differences here and there. It isn't a Season 2.
