I'm considering swapping out the damage Control module in the 5th upgrade slot for propulsion modification.
I'm thinking if i could actually stop/slow down quicker than i might have a better chance at dodging torps or salvos but my fires and floods would last 15% longer.
Anybody else try it? Thanks!

The GK is known for its massive size but extreme tankiness. It has the second biggest health pool in the game, so any percentage based DoT will deal higher relative damage to her than other ships. Her size makes her an easy target for the huge numbers of HE spamming ships in the game and she seems to get lit on fire a lot. Dropping the module will mean you are significantly more vulnerable to any HE spam for what amounts to a minor increase in maneuverability.
You will still be hit by torpedos because of her sheer size, and any floods you recieve will last longer, which will deal more damage to you. It comes down to personal preference, but the GK isn't exactly a nimble ship in the first place. I would keep the survivability module personally but its your ship in the end, so it wouldn't hurt to try it out! You can always switch back if you dont like it.

Thanks for the input. I might swap it out sometime but I agree with what you said. I hate throwing silver away when I'm gonna end up switching it back. Been doing that alot lately so I decided to ask this time. Thanks again!

No worries, It was a solid question! That's only my opinion, I'm no expert on this game. Glad I could help though!

It's almost always a good idea to use captain skills and modules to boost a ship's strengths, rather than to try to shore up it's weaknesses.
