I stopped reading at legendary tier ship and the whole "it replaces 3 other ships".
Seems WG just wants to throw gasoline on the existing dumster fire they already have.
Glad I didn't get too deep in that. Once I saw how different the lines were I decided to stay on PC. I also missed shooting down planes even though I don't care much for CVs.

That's quite laughable.
I considered playing this game until I saw how beyond butchered it was compared to the PC version. I could've understood if it was like WoTC was when it first started, and was just a really early version of the PC game. This, however, is making the game completely fundamentally different.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the Yamato the most powerful ship on PC? Aside from maybe her sister ship Musashi, what other ships are going to be "Legendary" and take 3 player slots?
Is there anything comparably powerful in the other nations trees, and not that the Yamato herself does, that warrants taking 3 player slots for a single ship?
Or are they just going to make all the PC tier X ships "Legendary"?
Imagine being in a tier 7 match in WoT, but your team only has 10 tanks total just because one of them is an E-100.
With the way WGCB is handling tanks re-branding it as mercenaries, and Legends being what it is, it's almost like they want the console versions to have the perception of being glorified mobile games.

I am so glad that I avoided this game. Tier 7 cap? Yeah, no. Legendary ships you pay coins for to play? Hell no. That is absurd. Absolutely appalling.
9vs 6 because you have Yamato on your team? Wow......just wow.

The Kremlin(soviet) and Republique (french) are stronger in most situations and the Grosser Kurfurst(german) has more health and better armour. Montana(american) has a more damaging broadside courtesy of more barrels and her super heavy AP shells. Yamato is strong, especially against lower tiers, but its not invincible, nor the most powerful. |

Forgive my ignorance of WoWs knowledge, I guess I could've been more specific than just "most powerful". I meant as far as her guns, as aren't they pretty much guaranteed to always pen/over-pen because of overmatch mechanics? I'm going off of at least 1 y/o knowledge from watching Jingles commentate replays. I assume the Soviet and French ships have more versatility to make them stronger ships? I still can't wrap my head around losing 1/3 of your team for a single ship. That guy could be the world's biggest potato and wholly cripple your team because he's a shit player in a big boat. Even from a tier 7 wouldn't multiple decently placed torpedoes cripple or sink a tier 10 BB anyway? |

If anything, they're making it a battleship game. The idea being to grind to the big tier10 battleship. No Minos, orDesMoines, or Stalingrads. No CVs at all. Also no Shimas, Kahbs , Gearings. Leaving legendary battles to juat the big battleships of the nations. Might as well be renamed World of Battleships.
Battles with legendary ships will be about who can work as a team and support their battleships the best and win. they basicly made the pre ww2 era battleship game without CVs. I wanna say it takes place in the mind of a battleship commander in WW2 but before Taratano and Pearl Harbor changed the way naval battles were fought. Maybe the other legendary ships won't be tier 10s of PC but the legendary battleships of each nation. Like Mighty Mo for the US, Bismarck for Germany, and Jean Bart for France and they just balance them out for the legendary class. I'm just guessing though.

Yam does definitely have very powerful guns, and yes she will overmatch basically any bow armour in the game save for Moskva. You will hit things often, courtesy of her sigma, and whatever you hit will usually take significant damage, if it isn't outright destroyed. This is of course assuming the Yamato player is any good at aiming, and RNG is heavily in their favor. GK would probably be a legendary ship itself. It has a massive health pool over 100,000. It also has extremely heavy armour and a savage secondary gun compliment that would shred a tier 7 cruiser in seconds if you let it close in. Kremlin has troll Russian armour that is basically immune bow on, it has shells that do more damage per cit than even Yam, and its HE hits as hard as a british BB. Republique is very fast with excellent armour, great HE and the highest pen guns in the game with AP shells below 16km's. Are any of them worth 1/3 of a team? Not in the hands of your average player. Yam's torpedo defence reduces damage by 55%, but she can easily be burnt down by HE. Hilariously easily. The same goes for all the tier X BB's save for Conq(super-heal) |
