I won from Sacred Valley South spawn

People complain about that map cos they have no idea what they are doing. Every time I play it in a reasonably mobile tank I'll contest the southeastern corner of the map if I spawn south.

You deny them that entire area then.

Think it helps we've probably played on this map on pc for a long time and learnt how to play on it, going to the north when south spawn in a heavy tank that can go hull down also manages to deny any form of entry to that flank

I need to have a game with you people on my team. In the last 3 hrs, I have had Sucky Valley come up 5 times and all South Spawn. I do pretty decent (did really well the last game) all for nothing....it doesn't matter, we lose. South Spawn is like being kicked in the head after brain surgery.

You can win on south spawn, Ive done it plenty but the map is still heavily one sided for the pure reason that the hill provides cover for their base (North spawn) and it stops others getting onto the top of it from south spawn.

North side will always get there first thats why many people hate it. Like myself. Why couldn't they of instead just updated the map to its PC counterparts?

Ohh wait i remember, Chad does our maps on xbox... nevermind...

Finally!

A south spawn win...in a Churchill no less. I felt like a slug driving around there. Not all too impressive but I have that monkey off my back!

I won twice from the southern spawn last night.

While I usually try to get up to the high ground, I've actually found a nice little spot toward the middle at around H-7ish or so. Need a tank with decent gun depression and have to keep an eye behind you, but it allows you to support either side, stay out of arty's firing line, take on tanks that go the center, and protect the spawn.

Of course, just because it worked twice doesn't mean it will always work -- if someone sneaks around like the 4 line in the center, they could come up and give you some surprise buttsechs -- but it's the best spot for the south I've found so far.
