The main WoT Console forum has got to be the most toxic place on the entire internet. I'm not kidding. I've been around.
No less than 10 different individuals have report-spammed me until I've gotten 3 strikes, over nothing. Apparently commenting on a post any more than 1 week old is a terrible sin, and they won't leave you alone about it even after a full year of staying away from the forum.
Also, apparently complaining about a PLAYER-RUN xbox club where members are being stalked and abused by its owner counts as violating the "no discussing moderation or bans" rule, which makes no sense at all. I wasn't discussing WG or MS admin decisions!
I'm never going back to that troll-fest if I can help it. Unless I can figure out a way to condemn these asshats behavior without getting banned for it. That forum is killing this game, I'm not kidding.

I think the thing about that was you had an issue with somebody and rather than deal with it privately between you and them, you brought them into the conversation when they weren't present. It was fine to talk about the xbox clubs and should WG get involved with that kind of stuff. It was the way you presented it. I think a fair number just gave you the advice to move on. Be the bigger person type of thing. Don't act the same way you are saying someone else is acting. And that's one of the issues with talking about that in public. It's your word against theirs. You might be telling the truth or you may be exaggerating things. No one really knows except you and him. I'm not going to candy coat it with you and I'd say most here won't either--so be ready for that if any others decide to respond. If you're looking for honest conversation, this is the place. But if you're looking for everyone to agree with you or to make some drama, the wot forum is better for that. |

I was going to post something very similar. Brett - you and I have gotten into it more than once on the shit forum, and each time, when I offered a logical counter argument to your issue / post / idea / thought / whatever, you went into attack mode. Quite frankly, I just started ignoring you completely (not putting you on ignore, but just blowing past your posts). I couldn't tell if you were purposely being a troll or if you simply didn't have the maturity to discuss points and counter-points like an adult. So, instead of being dragged down to your level, I just ignored you. So, all that said, I don't know what got you wrapped up in your most recent issue, but I will offer this for you to ponder - if it keeps happening to you, then maybe it is NOT everyone else - maybe you need to ask yourself if it is YOU, or your style. |
