I was thinking about this yesterday and the thought came back to mind. Yeah, I know this topic is probably a bit deep, lol.
I've only been on one other forum besides bunker and wot. It wasn't a gaming forum and a lot of the conversations had to deal with more serious topics. There seemed to be more women there than what I've come across on gaming forums, but still not as many in comparison with men.
If the majority of forumers were female, I'm sure my experience would be much different. I generally know how other women think and have had enough variety of friends to see all sorts of personalities. I just wondered what it's like for men when there is a majority of men around.
I never really had very many male friends, but I did spend a majority of my time growing up going places with my dad and there were always men around wherever he took me. I was always intrigued by how different it was being around those groups than being amongst a group of women. Less drama. More laid back. More shooting the bull.
My younger brother was my main guy friend growing up. We live across the country from each other now so we're not as close anymore. I see some similarities in his personality in some of you all. He's a funny guy and it's always a good time when I get to see him. Same with my dad and the men in my family. They're all funny and joke around a lot. I think I'm often missing those relationships because most all of them live a significant distance away from me now. I think in some ways talking on the forums has filled that gap.
Is it like that for you all too on the forum in regard to other male relationships?
