Welp my Xbox one external drive died on me yesterday so I pretty much lost all of my games

On a serious note I give it about 1 to 2 years max, The times I did try to get the message to the idiots that WOT was in a bad spot and dying was my Glass door reviews thread. Every ex employee said the same thing " our talents was suppressed" and " we didn't have enough resources to work with when we started the World of Tanks console project" I think the problem starts with WG main aka pc. When they saw to the development of a wot console version they chose a severely understaffed and unqualified Studio to do it. I've talked with a few people and they told me their office doesn't even have air conditioning
Not to mention all the miscommunications they have, aren't they all in the same place?. It's like a free-for-all there and that's what I think led to where we are today. I personally think that the reskins and merc tanks weren't primarily for money, but for the fact that they have lack resources to really do anything else. Everything from the low quality crew portraits to the horrendously bad gun and engine sounds. I think it all goes down to the low resources they have. They've always said "To keep the lights on" when asked about money questions, and I bet they're 100% serious about that remark, they probably make just enough money to keep their office running. Now I'm sure they make enough to make good changes to the game but you have to consider this, investors take a cut, War gaming PC takes a cut,TJ Fagner also takes a cut, and so does other factors. The only way I think this game can be saved is if we all stop buying which would certainly get the attention of WG PC who would most likely up WGCB's funding to create new content.

Now I get that it's expensive to make video games. That aside, what are they doing with all the dang money they make from all this crap? I mean $50 or more for digital tanks? I know someone is creating them and they're getting paid. Is that where most of their money is going--to pay digital artists? To me a tank is just not worth that much. I understand art is time consuming and people should get paid a decent salary for their work. But it's just nuts to me how much everything in the game costs. I did buy quite a bit of gold when I was on ps and wasted it on dumb stuff like training crews 100%. I think I've only spent $15 on this game since I switched to xbox and I could have done without doing that. I'm definitely losing interest in it fairly quick. I'm not having as much fun playing it anymore. |

The game is a train wreck. I feel like a chair on the deck of the Titanic, and sitting on me is a musician playing the last notes as this gargantuan goes down. Jokes on them; i'm a wooden chair. I'll float... ..float away to a tropical island and start my new console game with black jack and hookers. On a serious note. Low server pop, barely disguised incompetence by the WoT Console management (updates, bugs, crew skills not working, not knowing what the hell they're talking about Aka Type 5 Japanese Medium) and this sudden rush to churn out loot boxes: won't help. All the old dregs are left at the company, all the bright sparks have left. The company itself gets terrible reviews by it's employees that have worked there. My estimate, *licks finger, holds to the wind*, about 1 to 2 years max, and Year 2 is going to be a horrible wasteland. Edit: ^ kind of a sh#$ post I made, I'm interested in the game, I support those that do play it. I fart around in Warstories now. But I'm kind of a broken reed with WoT. I do 2 or 3 pub matches, and feel really jaded. So yes, 1 to 2 full years for this game. I hope for many that it gets better and lasts longer  I will ONLY play in a platoon. Solo is so infuriating that I nearly stroke out. I mean, I get close even when platooning, but at least there are 1-3 others I can count on and we can commiserate together. I still play some solo games, but I feel the same way. I'd rather play in platoons and forget how frustrating it is. But it can be equally frustrating when someone on your team says you're bad, lol. 😂 |

My best guess is a year, two at the most but I guess <12 months.
The recent lootboxes giving more than the cost of gold screams financial trouble. So does the Twitch prime op for the T34.
Playerbase is up slightly in the past week or so but we are generally seeing <10k players on Xbox (all servers).
Unless there are some absolute whales buying tanks and gold it is just not viable to keep the servers running and pay all the staff.
One option would be for Wot PC devs to take it back in house but the chances are if money is an issue they wont do that. Better to let that part of the company go bust.

That place is a hell hole to run a business these days, the taxes are insane. Didn't they shutter a studio in Texas too, or am I mis-remembering? |

They'd be smart to move their location to a less expensive place that also has good internet. |
