Lets talk about the AMX Chaffee. In short I love this tank. If you bought one, you should consider yourself lucky because you are one of a fortunate few who get to terroize reds in this mean little fucker of a tank.
Equipment. I'm an active scout who likes to do a fair amount of shooting at the end of the match. I run the following set up. Vertical Stabilizer, Coated Optics, and Vents. I've tried other combos but always come back to this.
In most matches I will active scout for the beginning of the match. I'll always keep cover close as I move about the battlefield. Once I've got a decent idea of what's going on I'll set up and camp a nice double bush for a bit to rack up the assist damage. Near the end of the match I'll go hunting. You can circle kill just about any isolated tank or I'll hunt down the red arty. Be on the lookout for red lights. The new tier VIII light tanks are mean as hell and can really take a bite out of your ass. That being said you aren't defenseless and can put up a pretty good fight if you know what you are doing.

One of those premiums I really really wish I had purchased. I own the Bulldog and the T49 and I hate seeing them on the reds when I'm in my T49 with the derp. That 152mm is too unreliable to duke it out with a fast shooting tank like the Chaffee. I don't mind them as much with the M41.

Great tank. I run the same equipment as you listed. That seems to work out pretty well. It was up there for 1 of my favorite tanks, when I first got it. Lately I haven't played it as much. I think the addition of the new American Lights has taken away some of the spotlight, for me. I don't want to debate the negatives but I was not a huge fan of this tank in tier 10 battles. So that has also played a role in why I maybe got a little worn out on this tank. It is super fun, there is no denying. And if you get good MM you can terrorize an enemy team.

I was tearing apart a T49 with my Joco, had him down to about 15hp, when out of the blue the 53/55 he was platooned with dropped a premium HE round right on us. Killed me and he just drove away. Sometimes I wish we had friendly fire... |

It's my nemesis...good games and bad games, i just can't play it consistently. I think I am too aggressive, have 1 MOE. Against tier 8-10 I just suck in this thing

Got my one and only Pools in this tank. Only managed Devastator but i find fun in passive scouting and then running amok when people are low health Running solo I went 18-0 in that before my first loss. This animal is just off the charts. It's more difficult to play since the MM seems biased towards higher tiers now but my god does it still piss people off. All my gameplay videos are of some older tanks and I'm not going searching through streams but JOCO CHAFFEE FTW |

Would love to run it more often, but don't know many folks who have one (and won't run more than two scouts in a platoon) and would rather than not always take it out with tier Xs (can do VIIIs, I guess, but the thing seems to see Xs pretty much all the time now). I also do NOT do well in auto-loaders, as I tend to do better in tanks with good DPM and consistent fire. Send me a FR, Spartacus, and maybe we can zip around in them here soon and you can show me how to use it.  |

Got a Pool's in the tank on Airfield, either VII or VIII, cannot remember.
Don't like much about the tank to be honest, but if I was in any other VI, it wouldn't have happened, either the reload would have been too long to yoink a few of those kills, or the 59-16 would just go and bounce off some paper TD.
