So this was brought up in this thread, I made a poll so that people can vote without necessarily having to post/explain.

Im voting yes. The more we can prevent Soviet and his brown nosing ilk from sticking their noses in here to see whats going on and spreading their shit back on the Idiot Forum the better.

I voted no. We don't have anything to hide and the shoutbox is hidden to guests. Additionally, that other forum is becoming an echo chamber and we should want to increase the population of the forum with those that are disaffected. How do we attract new people, viewpoints, knowledge, etc. if we make it "invisible" to those that are curious. I think the risk is worth the potential reward.

It would be better if certain sections could be visible to all such as the guides and useful things like that but off topic is kept closed to outsiders. There are threads in there that would be easily and readily misconstrued by people immediately looking to be offended or who are all ready on the defensive. Plus Max should be blacklisted just because hes a grade A cocksucker.

Of course, I'm not a moderator here and don't want to suggest something that creates a lot of work for folks. However, I like the idea of limited access to helpful tool sections, while locking out the shout box and 95% of sections / threads. While there are many folks who should and are welcomed to join our great community, we have to acknowledge that there are people like Maxipad, RaiSnot, Soviet Douchenozzle and GorgedPrimeBeef that lurk in order to use it against us later and act as pissbaby tattletales. I'd also be selective about who from the shit forum can join us here, but I acknowledge that, for all I know, y'all have been selective in screening out the riffraff. But that's probably a conversation for another thread. Thanks for the poll!

I checked yesterday and I can make individual sections readable/non readable to guests, I'd just have to change a few settings. We have been selective to an extent. We've not allowed major trolls over here that we are aware of, like Voldemort (and shut down the guest section due to him), but that doesn't stop them signing up under a different name. We've had people join that aren't members of the other forum but have heard of the bunker in game or twitch for example and they, in theory, could be anyone. The problem is that I haven't been active on the other forum for ages and I don't know who the current trolls are, so unfortunately sometimes undesirables may be accepted unknowingly.

Tbh I like knowing that the tiny insignificant bunker has people so scared that they need to lurk it and report back to the shit forum on our evil plots.

I voted yes, the Bunker was created mainlyto be a alternative for people who wished to discuss Warthunder,WOT, and WoWS and not have to worry about being unfairly moderated by staff from those games official forums. If people like Bourge and WGCB (Second chance told me they lurk here) use what we post to blackmail us and or profile us then whats the point of coming to the Bunker then?

The vote is tied at the moment, at this point, it looks like a compromise of keeping some sections readable for all and some members only is the best option.
I'll keep the poll open for a couple more days and see if there's any difference.

I voted yes but would be more than happy with sections being available to non members, like guides, reviews and a place to ask questions. Also I'd let anyone that we don't know to be a troll in, I myself only played up over there because certain people rubbed me up the wrong way. Otherwise I'm a fucking delight to be around

I voted yes before knowing how the settings could be changed. I'd be more in favor of having some readable and some unreadable to non-members.

I wouldn't have been even tempted to join if this was a hidden forum.
It's a no from me.
