Why? Because right now they're my favourite tanks to run. I'm now familiar with the T20 and Pershing and love those tanks. New joy as well on finding the Type 59 so another frequent tank to run out. I also like the T-34-88 and the Fury.
There's something about these Tiers and these tanks that's just good fun. They're flexible, mobile and can be used in many roles.
So what other Mediums should I now look at trying in these tiers? Another question I have is about load-outs and skills and perks. Do you tend to use the same equipment in Mediums at these Tiers and have the same skills and perks trained and if so what are they.
Always looking to find out more and raise the game, so to speak.

All the Americans 6-8 I really enjoy too...
Fully upgraded Cent 1 is capable and fun.
I bought the Panther 1 last night...ran one battle, very modest 771 damage and 3 frags. Stock, it's slow and the gun is only a tier 6 gun so the grind to the top gun/engine appears as if it's going to be rough. Luckily, I was able to put an over trained, 5 skill crew in it for immediate 100%. I think it will help. I guess it's just a weaker 30.02m due to its tier assignment.

I am grinding for the Leopard 1 and 2 of my favorite tanks have been on this line in the VK 30.01(D) and 30.02(D) mediums. Top tier (VI) the 30.01(D) feels invincible and well worth a try....once fully upgraded it's a bully,

I love the T20 and Pershing, STA-1 and Indien-Panzer are hidden gems imo. Even if they are quirky Obj 416 and T-34-1 works nice too once you figure them out. The Cromwell is the clear winner at tier VI for me.

The 30.02M is a wonderful tank; a bit big, but has a laser for a gun and enough mobility to get you where you need to go. Both the Soviet T-34-85 (VI) and T-44 (VIII) are really, really good tanks IMHO. The reload on the former is a tad longish, the pen on the former a tad lowish, and there is a flaming turd tucked between them (the T-43), but both have permanent spots in my garage (though I have no crew for the 44 as of right now). Also too: The T-54 comes after the 44 and is a beast. Also hear the other line is really good, with the A-43 being a hidden gem (gonna start that line eventually). The Comet is my go-to at VII due to insane gun depression of 12 degrees and LOLDPM. Sure, you gotta spam some premium rounds, but a platoon of them can just whither opponents into dust. Have the Cent I unlocked but have yet to get it -- just seems to big and slow. I dunno ... maybe someday. Haven't played the Chinese as of yet (I like gun depression and prefer to not be set on fire every other shot), nor the Japanese (tho I hear the Chi-Ri is OP ).

Bullpup I would free xp to the last package once you reach the panther II. The stock isn't as bad as the stock panther but it's engine is an absolute turd.

If you're into premiums the t-34-3 is (this will likely be unpopular) better than the type 59. If the 34-3 got the same depression buff as the pc got it would really be amazing. So if you got the gold I really suggest the T-34-3, it's gun can give other tier 8s pause, it's mobile, and it's armor is ok, pretend you don't have any armor and don't get shot.

The Panther I isn't a bad tank at all, but definitely not as good for its tier as the 02M is. Play it more like a mobile sniper -- the gun has great standard pen of 198 and really good accuracy. The Panther II is just ... bleh. Huge, not very fast, and with a glacial aim time of 3 seconds. The Tiger is a better tier VIII medium. Seriously. Really hope the E-50 and E-50M are worth it, because I have not enjoyed the Panther II grind AT ALL.

Some great stuff here and going off to try these out.
I find at these tiers running solo, and in these tanks, you can make a difference to the outcome more so than at higher tiers or other tank types.
Just running round the back of a choke point for example or coming in on a flank in a skirmish. Opfor then tend to turn their tanks on you, enabling the team (if they're awake, have IQs out of single figures and are not eating marshmallows) to fire at Opfor.

A-43 is awesome fun and Obj 416 is too. VK.30.01(D) is also fun. Cromwell/Knight too. I love to play tiers 6-7 now days and my medium tanks of choice are Fury, Knight, T23 and T20. I should add Comet to the list and i want to buy back A-43 but i have to find crews for them first. These tanks are less than amazing when run with noob crews. My seal clubbing don't care for noob crews

I recently picked up the T-43 and, while I'm not changing the world with it, I am having fun. I have only just gotten the last gun upgrade and still have an engine or two to grind out. It feels a bit sluggish at the moment, the aim time isn't as fast as I would like, and the moving dispersion leaves a lot to be desired, but the accuracy isn't terrible, the turret is pretty bouncy, very acceptable dpm and the gun depression is better than I expected. Overall it's a damned fine flanking machine that is sure to get better with the engine upgrade and wise crew skill decisions.

I loved the T20 and actually enjoyed the T-44 and Indien-Panzer. The Panther 1 and I had a love/hate relationship and that continues with the Panther II. (I have the Leopard 1 and I'm working, albeit slowly, towards the E-50M).
I just recently decided, after enjoying the Type 59, to give the Chinese medium line a go. Unfortunately it starts at one of my nemesis tanks, the Type 34/T-34. Barring the T-34-88, I absolutely despise this entire series of tanks. No matter what I try, I just can't find that sweet spot where it works for me....

British: the Cromwell and Comet are amazing, and I kept both. I do not feel the same way about that giant cardboard box known as the Centurian.
Soviet T-62a line: this medium line improved my skills more than any other line in the game. At first I generally hated each one, but by the end each was quit enjoyable. The T-44 is underrated imo, comes with a 122 "shits gonna get crazy" option (though not as good as the 100), and I loved this tank so much I kept it.
Now I want to go play the T-44...

The Jumbo Sherman, go in face first and just keep shooting til they are dead. AT8's, Hellcat's, KV1's just bounce bounce bounce. Sorry if the pic is too small, first attempt on this forum

I've got to fly the flag for the T95E2. Love that thing.
I didn't pick up the Type 59, so can't really comment, but it'd have to be something really special to beat the E2.
In the tech tree a tier down. You really can't beat a Comet.

I'm not sure what to expect from the Obj. 416 but I'm hoping it is fun as well. After despising the T-34 I'm glad I went that route.

In the tech tree a tier down. You really can't beat a Comet. T95E2 and the Knight both get used a lot for silver by me. Comet at tier 7 is good fun. I passed on the Type-59 as just didn't think I would use it that much due to my E2 love.
