As per topic heading, really struggling to get the hang of the 110 with the top gun. Really don't get on with it so advice would be welcomed!

TBH I didn't play that many games in it, but it's got a serious pike nose that needs to be pointing straight at whoever you're fighting. The turret is strong, but not invincible and the gun handling if I remember is OK, but not spectacular. I can say that the T9 WZ-111 is extremely enjoyable to play. I'm sorry I couldn't ne of more help.

No worries, thanks! Yes, I don't find that the pike nose great for longevity...

It's a fairly boring and forgetful vehicle, primarily because well the IS-3 exists at the same tier.
The turret is considerably strong, and with the pike nose how it is, the tanks role becomes rather apparent as a mid-close range fighter primarily hull down in such a way that the enemy are shooting the turret front/angled pikes and not penning, trying to snipe the cupolas or having to expose their tanks much more to try to get shots into the lower plate.
While strong, it isn't impervious and after firing it is quite a good idea to move the turret and/or hull during the reload so the enemy have a harder time aiming for the cupolas or even the turret cheeks. When not able to position yourself hull down, say a flat street engagement then it may be preferable to reverse side-scrape instead as the frontally mounted turret works better when doing so, alongside the pike nose becoming a weakness if you were to try and regularly side-scrape. Otherwise you just want to be getting in their face if you can do neither of those, trying to make the lower plate a hard target and not over angling the front to make them having flat shots at the pike.
When mid-bottom tier to such an extent you can't be up front brawling with the big boys, you can play as somewhat close range support, using the decent performance of the gun to your advantage to still be a threat, the pike can actually bounce Tier X TD rounds now and again but it's not common enough that you should be repeatedly trying to do that and more just a pleasant surprise. Since it is still .38 though you're not going to be wanting to try and play long-range even in poor line up with it because you'll be missing more shots than hitting.

Drive forwards and shoot things. If you get into trouble load gold. You're welcome in advance.
