This grind looks terrible. I wish I could free xp to at least the upgraded turret, but I don't have the spare funds to convert xp, so I have to grind it out the hard way. I'll be moving my Knight crew into it, so it'll have 6th Sense, BIA, Mentor, Repairs, and Smooth Ride trained on it. Any tips on making this bearable? What should the next skill/perk be?

It's pretty terrible. I used optics until I got the last turret so I could at least do some spotting. Even fully upgraded I'm not a huge fan, I'm just sticking it out because the Centurion 7/1 is one of my favorite tanks.

It made me cry. There is no help. Fire APCR at everything that's the same tier as you, fire HE at anything else and hope to track them and score assists, because this tank if fucking hopeless when it's stock.

I truly found this to be the only painful experience through the whole line. Even when it was fully upgraded. That said it still isn't the worst grind in the world. It is most definitely not a front line medium(not like the 7/1 at least). I used it to snipe as much as possible. I'm sure that made teammates sing my praises(sarcasm).

Stock grind just don't play it. Run in other tanks and accrue free xp to get to the next package. its only 14k from what I remember. Once you have the top turret and 17-pdr you can start to have an effect on the match, though the 17-pdr is still a terrible gun for a tier VIII tank. Once fully upgraded you need to snipe in it from a hull down position. It kind of reverses and ends up with the most pen out of all the tier VIII meds. DPM is pretty mediocre so try not to brawl with anything especially other mediums.

The stock was heavily painful to play. It was like an Obese comet. You must fire all APCR if you want a chance for damage. The 17-pdr does kinda help but not good enough. The 20-pdr is worth it though because it has high penetration and good accuracy.

I have 20k free xp built up, and my Knight crew still has another 25% training on the current skill before I can begin overtraining. Plus I have to build up some silver so I can finish putting equipment on it. Hopefully I'll have another 5k free xp built up by the time I'm finished with that, cutting the first package grind in half.

I just got the second package yesterday. It's good, you can actually bounce rounds and all that stuff. The gun's a bit more capable too. Keep going, it gets better. I am liking the tank now, even without the 20 Pounder.
