I'd just like to see what I should be aiming to do each battle. Is your ships hitpoints a good place to start? I have no idea if I'm doing well or not.

You always want to aim to do as much damage as hitpoints of your ship if you can. Thats just a general rule, for WoT or for this game. I'm happy in a DD if I get one hit, BUT managed to do about 20-25,000 damage.
In a BB I always aim to do equal damage for hitpoints if I can. 50,000 health? That much damage. Its tough sometimes but its a good goal. At least then its quantifiable, and I feel like I contributed to the battle, even if I get killed. Even if I get killed, I try and make the enemy team work for it.

I've seen one somewhere because i remember seeing that i had to do 60k dmg for purple in a tier V i think it was. I'll try and find it again.

My goals: DD -- spot at least my HP in damage, and cause 3-4X my HP in damage. Cruiser -- At least 2.5X HP in damage. BB -- 1.5X my HP in damage, and take twice that in potential damage. Carrier -- lolnope.  Your mileage may vary, offer not applicable in all areas, etc. etc.  |
