I was chilling in my Garage last night with DW, we played a few games and we had to part. After he left I had done something I have never did before,I actually stopped and cleared my head and thought about my whole situation.Long story short I felt sick that I was supporting a company that sees me as nothing more than a dumbass with money to throw around. This combined with my recent Perma-ban angered my quite a bit.I closed WOT and went to go play something else,Cod WW2, and I did the same thing......Sitting there thinking and I came to realize that WW2's devs were the exact same.I must have went through at least 80% of the multiplayer games I owned and came to the conclusion. These games.....They're broken,They're unbalanced,They're Pay-To-Win.After being "Woke" for a while I went to play some different games...Older games.....Better games. Why is it that the older games like Cod Black ops,GTA 4,Resident evil 4,Far cry 3 are so much better than the new ones. Why is it that Devs have more tech, money and in some cases for time to make their games but they end up mediocre? I'll sum it up with this
"The gaming industry is like a stripclub...Full of games (Women) of all shapes and sizes and we are the men (Gamers) looking for that nice perfect woman (Game) to throw our money at.We keep on throwing 1's 5's 10's 50's until we are literally throwing HUNDREDS at this "Perfect" woman (Game) hoping that if we throw enough we will get to see the good stuff but she just picks up that money and walks to the next guy leaving you disappointed and broke" ^^^^^^^^ That right there...Is how I feel about gaming in the second decade as a whole. Thanks for reading my long ass post

Good thing some of the older games I play could be considered timeless.
But that's the harsh reality of every game really, is easy to think some devs out there enjoy making games but even back in the day they were under incredible pressure from deadlines not to mention trying to make enough money to pay their staff.
I think the key problem is simply, everything is becoming, too big, and too powerful for people to make fun stuff on time anymore due to complexity of it.
Don't get me wrong there have been good newer games but I feel like nobody's enjoying making them or putting love into them.
I've always wanted to make video games but if at all possible I'd try to stay indie. I don't want it to be my job, then it's a job. A job's not fun.

First question Library....are you old enough to go to a strip club?
Seriously...I'd suggest you look at the games you play differently, and base it on one aspect, and one aspect only...are you having fun? There is nothing wrong with "wanting more", "wanting better", etc. However, I think you will find in life that the frustration you're describing is present in any hobby or activity you will take up. There is nothing wrong with wanting better.
I'm 50 this year, and my hobbies are boring for most, but I reload, and I'm always wanting that better product, powder scale, priming tool, etc. However, I still enjoy doing it with what I have available and will continue to hand load as long as I'm enjoying it. I'll do the same with all my other hobbies, and stop doing things I don't enjoy. It really is that simple. Good luck buddy.

You don't have to compete with anybody and it's not controlled by money grabbing bastards. We could start a Bunker book club and everything.

That's not a bad idea, particularly now that you can get iBooks, Kindle, Audible, etc. I could immediately recommend "The Guns of August by Tuchman...absolutely fantastic book I just finished on my wife's Kindle. Easily one of the top 20 books I've ever "read".
I'd also add "The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt....been a really long time since I read it, but it was extremely well written and covers a great American.

I read The Guns of August last summer, it is really good. One of my favourites too.

I wore out two copies of 1943 on my Nintendo Entertainment System. I remember beating 1942, had blisters on my thumbs from that one. I used to have a NES (used to be a game collector) and I swear with the time it took JUST to get the game to start working you could probably beat it.My favorite games on the system were Mario Bros,Top Gun and Super Contra.

I miss the older games, had a lot more fun playing them. Could be a healthy dose of nostalgia saying that, but modern gaming hoods less and less appeal to me. I remember some of the old controversies, like night trap and the MK blood code lol. My wife wanted to get me one of these, ( or similar) joysticked.co.ukBut there is a lot of legal great area, but man it's tempting,

Cyrex...unfortunately, I don't hand load .338, but I do have dies for my Ruger Model 1 in .375 H&H. The Lapua has pretty impressive ballistics. Yeah, not aloft of people hand load .338 LMs. I got asked what I was going to hunt with it. Told them "anything with 2 or more legs". Doesnt the Lapua Magnum stop whatever it hits??
