Just thought I'd clear a few things up from that thread that I've experienced.
For a start he did the age old mistake of buying premiums and expecting to be good at the game, I started with the reserve tanks (tier 1) and they are garbage and you have to upgrade them but it is the best way to learn the gameplay.
He goes on to say that he kept getting shot from behind when he played, and to be fair he'd played 50 battles on maps he's never played before and which are so much bigger than WoT, so he probably kept going to the wrong places and drove past actually drove past enemy tanks to get there.
Now the one shots. In my experience, which is still limited to low tier/Battle Rating tanks, one shots aren't as common as he makes out, you actually have to learn where to shoot different tanks and aim for crew and modules. I've been hit plenty of times without being one shot and I've been able to pull back and start repairing my tank. And he says the health bars are better because it replicates armour profiles? No, the armour replicates the armour profiles, he was probably also using the wrong ammo which is important in WT (you can actually over penetrate and do little to no damage to vehicles).
Not sure what he's on about with the "handful of live players" pretty sure all my battles have been populated by people, and there's usually 70k of them when I play during the day (UK time). Like I've said before I'm not long into the game and it can be campy but I think that's good because there's little Yoloing either, and no one has team killed me wanting my spot. And there's no one hit and quit as you can take multiple vehicles into one battle and use them all, respawning of sorts but unless you have a back up you can't use the same plane twice.
As as for the cheating part, can't say I've noticed it at all, in tanks and planes I'm 99% sure all my deaths have been my fault, I mean it's taken ages for me to sort out my controller the way I want it so I get the best mobility in tanks and agility in planes. You can actually set up custom battles on your own and adjust settings and get used to maps and where to target tanks.
So so I guess WT is your game if you like a realistic game, ammo choice is more important and mistakes are punished, but you get the chance to get back into the game and make amends and stay with the squad (up to 4 in a platoon). But to me WoT is lazy in comparison, and less balanced and you don't have to learn to do well in WoT.
tl;dr 50 battles isn't nearly enough to give an in depth report of WT, I'm on over double that and I'm still learning the maps and where the enemy likes to hide.
Sorry if if its a load of gibberish, the pain killers have kicked in.
