Been getting slaughtered playing the Texas, not sure what I'm doing wrong. All my shots seem to miss and I can't get to the fight in time lol.

My First prem was Warspite, followed by: Scharnhorst, Graf Spee, Belfast, Indianapolis, Kaga, Tirpitz, Molotov, Leningrad, Dunkerque, Atago, De Grasse and Anshan.
If I was to suggest a couple it would be, Kutuzov, Scharnhorst or Tirpitz. Leningrad is good if you like DD play.

Kutuzov is no longer for sale. It was too balanced.
American BB's require a LOT of forward planning and situational awareness. You need to plan waaaay in advance where you want to support. If you overextend you get focused and killed.
The Texas isn't a terrible BB but it is a little gimmiky, it truly shines when the enemy has CV's on their team, when its tremendous AA suite can come into play.
No CV captain in their right mind would send planes anywhere near a Texas. No matter what tier they are. Even tier 7 CV's suffer massive losses to the Texas.

The Texas is...tricky. The guns are derpy as all holy hell, it handles like a flaming garbage truck, and the armor isn't as reliable as you want it to be. And you see VIIs on the regular, which sucks. It depends on awareness and pre-planning more than any other BB I have. It will punish you for bad positioning due to the bad speed, and long range shots are frustrating due to the dispersion and sigma values (which is how the shells clump together, basically; more is better). That being typed...when top tier, a CV is on the reds, and you play smart, it can do well. I mean, I do have a Kraken in mine, so...  |

American BB's to tier 8 are basically all the same. EXTREMELY slow. Their armour is ok but if you are poorly positioned you wont be able to fall back in time because they are so slow. If you overextend or go somewhere with no support they are easily focused down and killed. American BB's of all tiers especially have issues with HE and fires.
Their guns are a little derpy, but they have decent ballistics out to about 12km's, beyond that its a craps shoot.
Texas should be played more second line support than a front line brawler. Make sure you stay BEHIND other bb's and support them, if you end up in front and focused on, you are done. If things look like they may be turning sour, begin the long process of falling back immediately. Early. You need to start retreating as soon as you see you are in danger of being overwhelmed.

i try to have every single ship in the game, including the premiums.
for now the premium i lack are the rewards : Flint and Black i think i won't have them, ever... i'm not enough skilled for that

Hood and Sharnorst for BB, first for her sigma and secund for torpedoes and all her qualities
and for CVs, i like them all, less Enterprise than the others ( kaga, Graf Zep, and Saipan for sure)

I have it. Its actually okay. Better than the tech tree tier 4 in my opinion. The guns are good, fairly good ballistics, its health is reasonable with alright armour vs its own tier. Top tier it crushes.
Angle the armour and keep vigilant against torpedos and its actually pretty effective
Its got the highest rate of fire of all bbs at tier 4, it has a great chance of fires on its he at 33% I believe. So usuing HE is a viable tactic. It has good secondaries, albiet short range at 3.5.
12 guns of 305mm, it has a strong broadside. Same calibre of guns as the Revolutsiya, a tier lower. It also only sees matchmaking up to tier 5.
