Been wanting to get into retro gaming( both console and PC) and emulating some games that can't be found anymore, but the more I read the more confused I get.
Can anyone point me in a good direction to get started?

What platforms were these on? I might be able to suggest a program and a good place for ROMs and suchlike.

I have a friend who has built one, let me know what you want to know about it and I can ask him. I'm completely useless with computers, just how hard they are to set up.
