-- I really like how they ease you into aspects of the game, rather than like in tanks where you're kinda thrown the wolves and left to figure stuff out on your own. -- I suck at using torpedoes because I'm not used to a lot of the maps and, thus, have no clue where to set up an ambush. I'm also deathly afraid of nailing teammates. This is a courtesy they don't seem to show me -- been TKd about four times already. Speaking of which ... -- It's much different playing when you have to consider team damage. You really have to have awareness about you, which adds another level to the game. -- I really seem to enjoy pew pew gunboat type ships. Thinking I need to head up the Soviet DD and cruiser lines...? -- I am turrible in BBs, even against bots. Like, crazy stoopit bad. My shots never seem to hit when I stay at range, and I get drilled by torps when I get too close. Gonna keep trying in Co-Op, I guess. -- Not sure I have any desire to play CVs. I have a hard enough time managing my own ship. Not sure trying to wrangle planes on top of that is a good idea. -- It will be another week before I get a headset, but would REALLY love to div up with some folks when I do. -- ISSUE WITH 30+ YEARS OF TYPING: My left index finger instinctively floats over to the F key all.the.god.damn.time. I now put a lil' strip of paper between the D and F keys to keep it from heading that way. So... -- Any recommendations for a gaming keyboard or mouse? Anyway, I made this. It me:

Glad you're enjoying it so far. Team damage was also something I had to get used to as well - I guess the WoT PC guys didn't have that learning curve. I'm not saying I ever intentionally did questionable things, but you know when you were in a KV-2, had the shot lined up, and then some dink drove in front of you right when you pulled the trigger? Well, you raged a bit but then went on. Now you turn pink.
As for what lines you should try, how BBs play, and if you'd live CVs - my first recommendation would be to download the PTS. Try different lines on it and see what fits you. You can play for free and progress through lines very quickly. I would suggest giving the North Carolina (T8 US BB) a try on PTS and see what you think. That's one of the most accurate BBs in the game. If you hate that, you'll hate them all. I personally don't hate BBs, but I dislike the speed and slow reload - so my BB grinds are very limited. RU DDs seem like they'd be your cup of tea, but probably some of the cruisers would as well. Just going to have to experiment and see what you like. As for CV - I'm no help there.
Headset - I'm just using a cheap-ish Turtle Beach I got with my XB1. Works fine, but you don't *have* to have a headset to division. Zero and I spent several hours in a division yesterday without a headset.

I feel the same way about everything you said aside from CVs. The meme is spot on!
I play CVs differently than other classes. I'm not great, and still learning alot. JAt the begining of the game I press M and bring up the map, you can still control your ship and planes from here. I select my ship, and then map my path to a safe spot (usually behind an island), after that I mostly worry about air combat. Glad you're enjoying the game! Maybe we can platoon sometime!
