Captains,
We need to figure out what to spend our precious oil on. At present we can afford a 10% silver discount on all ships of tier 6 or 7, mutually exclusive, or we can hold out for another few thousand oil and buy a 10% discount on the repair costs of cruisers or DD's.
Which would everyone prefer? Immediate benefits? Or waiting for something more expensive. By the time we can afford the first building to discount repair costs, we could pretty much have a 10% silver discount on all ships tier 5 to 8.
What does everyone think?

I think the +3% XP is the best way to spend it. Here's why: The ship discount also affects the sell price - so you really don't save money. But the +3% XP gets you through grinds faster which can save you time - and money on the consumables. Just my opinion.

It is prohibitively expensive as well. So we would have to decide which nation the clan wants a 3% xp boost to, one that the largest majority of people are grinding. |

It should probably be a nation with a lot of ship lines. Japanese or American probably. Doesn't matter to me. The minimum cost is 5000 Oil I think. So it'll probably be at least a couple of months before we could afford it.
If each member of the clan made 30 oil a day from crates it would take a month roughly. That means each person would need to earn the minimum 30,000 xp a day.

The Research Center is actually 2000 oil per nation. If we do go that direction, I'd suggest a poll or something to decide as a clan. I'd assume we could hold off on the French one, since they only have one line. But between US, Japanese, British, German, and/or Russian - I'm not sure what people are grinding.

Only 2,000? Waaay cheaper than I thought, I must have mixed up that and the discount on repair costs buildings.

Soviet DD and CA
German CA and BB
American CV and BB lines

Just checked, and we have over 4000 oil, enough for 2 nations. With the announcement of the USN CV rework and CA/CL split, I made an executive decision and used 2k of it for the USN XP boost. I figured the USN has the largest tech tree, and most of us (if not all) are grinding US lines right now.

Since it's a hopefully related topic - are Clans region-locked? So there's an "NA Chapter" of The Bunker [BNKR] and also an "EU Chapter"?
I've sent an invite to the [BNKR] I can see on EU and it turns out there are two members who last played 80-100 days ago.
