Does anyone have any tips for where to take the various tank classes on Caern and Ravaged capital? I've had some good games on Capital but it was more down to luck. Every time i get Caern i have a crap game. Any help is appreciated.

Guess it depends on the tank, but playing lights I've had a good few games on Caern, working the south end of the ridge and map. There's some good passive scout positions and cover to the south of the main ridge and position to move forwarded for flanking mid to later game. Capital? I've literally played it twice, tier 8 in a tier 10 game, so haven't a clue...

That ridge sounds like a good spot for the Centennial or any hull down tank with good gun depression. Will find out when I can actually play the game and not just get to the store to buy gold.

Played Caen for the first time in a light today, Ru 251 was a total blast. Love this tank but my first good game on this map, normally play in mediums or TDs on Caen and lose badly. Lights are beginning to be lots of fun for me lately.

I've had luck along the ridge on Caern, particularly as far north as you can go. If you have turret armor/gun depression I suggest going there.
On Ravaged capital i head into the city all the way south, there's a good brawling area there. If you don't want to brawl, you can battle it out for the middle of the map, take control of the large monument there and you can get shots all over the field. But you're very open there, and if you don't have anyone fighting in the city you will be flanked.
In my opinion they're both good maps. Much better that Ardennes and fucking Catherine's ass

Be cool if someone like Owl or Just an Ace would add map guides for the new maps. The old map guides they built really helped me!

I take my "faster" tanks with turret armour and go to the tunnel on ravaged capital. Always cut off a few people that way. You can start off at the down ramp using the over head for cover while you reload and or move to the up ramp. It really helps though if you have another tank with you. You two can then roll them if they don't all of a sudden get big gun help or they get a numbers advantage in you. Granted I always get Ravaged Capital in tier VIII-X matches. Have chased a deathtar in my T49 going that route

On Ravaged Capital slow movers seem to do better in the south because there are lots of arty-proof street cover leading to center once the fast movers have eaten each other. Too much open space for slow pokes north of Cap. bldg, AND campers love the two upper corners. Going south with a fast med or lites is a waste; few safe flanking ops and nothing to scout. Of course, with everyone following this advice, a 'toon with a couple of each can cut across really quickly in the middle or north. I agree, much more playable than Ardenne.

The North ridge on Caen strikes me as something that's better to defend than aggressively push.Entire north of the map is kind of a sh*tshow. if I want to work the North (esp from West spawn) I just go to the center where there's good cover and I can get sideshots into people on the ridge as well as fire at any that have broken through.
The key to winning Caen imo is dominating the southern portion and being aggressive there. It's less choke-pointy in the south and easier to break through.
