Right now I only have a 6 pt captain on my Perth (PT, AR, DE) - so I get a lot of shatters without IFHE and don't have the sub 9km detection. But I am still finding the Perth to be extremely viable in ranked. Trying to decide if I should go IFHE or CE when I hit 10 pts.
The last game I played before quitting for the night and posting here was 1 BB, 1 cruiser, and 5 DDs. Managed to finish with 4 kills and high caliber.
I have tried almost all the T6 cruisers, and IMO Perth along with Leander and Cleveland (if you use islands) are the top 3. Clevelands get focused b/c the reds know it's capable of. Budyonny is good, Nurn would be good if you didn't get focused. I didn't have great luck with the De Grasse, Aoba suffers the same fate as Nurn (both very squishy), Duca just doesn't have the DPM, and Molotov isn't horrible...but again it's very squishy.
